HIV disproportionately impacts women, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa and other low-and middle-income countries, where conflict displacement heighten their vulnerability to HIV. Refugee women face compounded challenges, including trauma before during migration healthcare inequities host countries. This perspective paper aims assess existing evidence on treatment prevention for refugee resettling the U.S., using intersectional stigma status-neutral service delivery model as theoretical frameworks, propose an implementation strategy. Trauma-informed care (TIC) offers a promising approach address these emphasizing culturally responsive, safe, empowering healthcare. Integrating TIC with model, which centers testing pathways or treatment, can improve access outcomes. Moreover, stakeholders designing tailored interventions that individual systemic-level barriers is critical fostering health equity.
