Numerous studies have indicated broad spectrum pharmacological properties correlations between increased supply the human diet lower prevalence various disorders. The positive effects polyphenols application mostly discussed terms cardiovascular system well-being. However, recent years, they also increasingly mentioned as prophylactic therapeutic factors context neurological diseases, being able to suppress progression such disorders soothe accompanying symptoms. Among over 8000 compounds, that been identified, most widely examined comprise resveratrol, curcumin, luteolin quercetin. This review focuses on vitro assessments, animal models clinical trials, reflecting actual state knowledge, polyphenols' medicinal capabilities epilepsy, demyelinating neurodegenerative diseases central nervous system.

Polyphenols (PPs) are the naturally occurring bioactive components in fruits and vegetables, they most abundant antioxidant human diet. Studies suggesting that ingestion of PPs might be helpful to ameliorate metabolic syndromes may contribute prevention several chronic disorders like diabetes, obesity, hypertension, colon cancer. have structural diversity which impacts their bioavailability as accumulate large intestine extensively metabolized through gut microbiota (GM). Intestinal transforms into metabolites make them bioactive. Interestingly, not only GM act on metabolize but also modulate composition GM. Thus, change from pathogenic beneficial ones health associated diseases. However, overcome low PPs, various approaches been developed improve solubility transportation gut. In this review, we present evidence supporting changes occur after reactions (curcumin, quercetin, catechins) effect leads improving overall helping disorders.

Abstract Curcumin is a phytochemical isolated from Curcuma longa with potent tumor‐suppressor activity, which has shown significant efficacy in pre‐clinical and clinical studies. stimulates cell death, triggers cycle arrest, suppresses oncogenic pathways, thereby suppressing cancer progression. Cisplatin (CP) DNA damage apoptosis chemotherapy. However, CP adverse effects on several organs of the body, drug resistance frequently observed. The purpose present review to show function curcumin decreasing CP's impacts improving its antitumor activity. administration reduces ROS levels prevent normal cells. Furthermore, can inhibit inflammation via down‐regulation NF‐κB maintain organs. nanoformulations reduce hepatoxicity, neurotoxicity, renal toxicity, ototoxicity, cardiotoxicity caused by CP. Notably, potentiates cytotoxicity mediating death arrest. Besides, STAT3 NF‐ĸB as tumor‐promoting enhance sensitivity resistance. targeted delivery tumor cells be mediated nanostructures. In addition, derivatives are also able CP‐mediated side effects, increase against various types.

The gut microbiota (GM) represents a diverse and dynamic population of microorganisms about 100 trillion symbiotic microbial cells that dwell in the gastrointestinal tract. Studies suggest GM can influence health host, several factors modify composition, such as diet, drug intake, lifestyle, geographical locations. Gut dysbiosis affect brain immune homeostasis through microbiota-gut-brain axis play key role pathogenesis neurodegenerative diseases, including dementia Alzheimer's disease (AD). relationship between AD is still elusive, but emerging evidence suggests it enhance secretion lipopolysaccharides amyloids may disturb intestinal permeability blood-brain barrier. In addition, promote hallmarks AD, oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, amyloid-beta formation, insulin resistance, ultimately causation neural death. Poor dietary habits aging, along with inflammatory responses due to dysbiosis, contribute AD. Thus, modulation probiotics, or fecal transplantation could represent potential therapeutics this review, we discuss therapeutic strategies modulate

Curcumin is the primary polyphenol in turmeric's curcuminoid class. It has a wide range of therapeutic applications, such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, antibacterial, and anticancer effects against various cancers, but poor solubility low bioavailability. Objective: To improve curcumin's bioavailability, plasma concentration, cellular permeability processes. The nanocurcumin approach over curcumin been proven appropriate for encapsulating or loading (nanocurcumin) to increase its potential. Conclusion: Though incorporating into form may be viable method overcoming intrinsic limitations, there are reasonable concerns regarding toxicological safety once it enters biological pathways. This review article mainly highlights benefits curcumin.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) rate is accelerating with the increasing aging of world’s population. The World Health Organization (WHO) stated AD as a global health priority. According to WHO report, around 82 million people in 2030 and 152 2050 will develop dementia (AD contributes 60% 70% cases), considering current scenario. most common neurodegenerative disease, intensifying impairments cognition, behavior, memory. Histopathological variations include extracellular senile plaques’ formation, tangling intracellular neurofibrils, synaptic neuronal loss brain. Multiple evidence directly indicates that oxidative stress participates an early phase before cytopathology. Moreover, induced by almost all misfolded protein lumps like α-synuclein, amyloid-β, others. Oxidative plays crucial role activating causing various cell signaling pathways result lesion formations toxic substances, which foster development disease. Antioxidants are widely preferred combat stress, those derived from natural sources, often incorporated into dietary habits, can play important delaying onset well reducing progression AD. However, this approach has not been extensively explored yet. there growing combination antioxidants conjugation nutrient-rich diet might be more effective tackling pathogenesis. Thus, above-stated fact, comprehensive review aims elaborate basics antioxidants, including vitality may help researchers effectively potentially improved antioxidant therapeutic strategies for it also deals clinical trials field.

According to World Health Organization (WHO), neurological main causes mortality worldwide. include Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson′s Huntington′s Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Frontotemporal dementia, Prion Brain tumor, Spinal cord injury, and Stroke. These diseases considered incurable because no specific therapies available cross blood-brain barrier (BBB) reach brain in a significant amount for pharmacological effect brain. There is need development strategies that can improve efficacy drugs circumvent BBB. One promising approaches use different types nano-scale materials. nano-based have ability increase therapeutic effect, reduce toxicity, exhibit good stability, targeted delivery, drug loading capacity. Different shapes nanomaterials been widely used treatment disorders, including quantum dots, dendrimers, metallic nanoparticles, polymeric carbon nanotubes, liposomes, micelles. nanoparticles unique characteristics, sensitivity, selectivity, BBB when nano-sized particles, imaging studies NDs. The efficacy of chemotherapy in cancer therapy is limited due to resistance, treatment selectivity, and severe adverse effects. Immunotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation, surgery are the most common therapeutic strategies for treatment, with being successful. Nonetheless, these treatments exhibit poor effectiveness toxicity resistance. Therefore, combination therapies natural products may be used as an effective novel strategy overcome such barriers. Cisplatin a platinum‐based agent, when administered alone, it can lead effects resistance mechanism resulting failure. Curcumin polyphenolic compound extracted from turmeric ( Curcuma longa ) exhibiting anticancer potential minimal curcumin cisplatin mitigate/attenuate cisplatin‐related improve barrier reducing unwanted However, there uncertainties on curcumin, more depth high‐quality studies needed.
