Here we have chosen to highlight the main natural molecules extracted from Camellia sinensis, Andrographis paniculata, and Curcuma longa that may possess antioxidant activities of interest for skin protection. The involved in process are, respectively, catechins derivatives, particular, EGCG, andrographolide, its as well various curcuminoids. These plants are generally used beverages sinensis (tea tree), dietary supplements, or spices. they contain known their diverse therapeutic activities, including anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-cancer, antidiabetic, dermatological treatment. Their common applications widely documented, but use cosmetics is more recent. We will see pharmacomodulated addition co-antioxidants, formulations enable better penetration greater ingredient stability. In this review, endeavor compile cosmetic uses these structural modulations reported with aim improving bioavailability establishing different mechanisms action.

The infection with SARS-CoV-2 impairs the glucose–insulin axis and this contributes to oxidative (OS) nitrosative (NSS) stress. Here, we evaluated changes in glucose metabolism that could promote loss of redox homeostasis COVID-19 patients. This was comparative cohort analytical study compared patients healthy subjects. population consisted 61 without comorbidities 25 subjects (HS). In all plasma glucose, insulin, 8-isoprostane, Vitamin D, H2S 3-nitrotyrosine were determined by ELISA. nitrites (NO2−), lipid-peroxidation (LPO), total-antioxidant-capacity (TAC), thiols, glutathione (GSH) selenium (Se) spectrophotometry. insulin HOMA-IR (p < 0.001), 8-isoprostanes, 0.001) LPO increased = 0.02) while D 0.01), H2S, TAC, GSH Se decreased comparison HS. resulted alterations led hyperglycemia, hyperinsulinemia IR comorbidities. These increase OS NSS reflected increases or decreases some markers major impact fatal consequences course metabolic syndrome. Moreover, have long-term after infection.

Consumption of coffee, tea, wine, curry, and soybeans has been linked to a lower risk cancer in epidemiological studies. Several cell-based animal studies have shown that dietary polyphenols like chlorogenic acid, curcumin, epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate, genistein, quercetin resveratrol play major role these anticancer effects. mechanisms proposed explain the effects polyphenols. Depending on cellular microenvironment, can exert double-faced actions as either an antioxidant or prooxidant, one representative is reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated mechanism. These also influence microRNA (miR) expression. In general, they modulate expression/activity constituent molecules ROS-mediated pathways by increasing expression tumor-suppressive miRs decreasing oncogenic miRs. Thus, miR modulation may enhance through additive synergistic manner. More precise human clinical will provide convincing evidence preventive roles other diseases.

Elicitation is used in agriculture as a method of crop protection or means to enhance nutraceutically pharmaceutically important metabolites with the help chemical stimuli known elicitors. In present experiment elicitor potential Salicylic acid has been exploited induce metabolic changes spinach plant. various concentrations (1-0.01 mg/ml) were applied on leaves through foliar spray and observed for biochemical changes. A multifold increase amount total phenolic flavonoid well enzyme activity peroxidase, catalase superoxide dismutase was dose dependent manner. An antioxidant shown be correlated compounds. Growth parameters measured form biomass chlorophyll decreased by high concentrations. Metabolite profile control treated generated ESI-MS positive negative ion modes. The results showed an intensity peak acids, such gentisic acid, hydroxycinnamic coumaric ferulic caffeic major flavonoids plant, like kaempferol, quercetin, isorhamnetin patulitin glycosides. Ferulic caeffic acids quantified HPLC their after treatment.
