Biopolymers represent a significant class of materials with potential applications in skin care due to their beneficial properties. Resveratrol is natural substance that exhibits range biological activities, including the scavenging free radicals and anti-inflammatory anti-aging effects. In this study, chitosan/konjac glucomannan resveratrol-enriched thin films were prepared. The enrichment biomaterials active ingredients common practice, as it allows desired properties be obtained final product. To characterize films, several analyses performed, infrared spectroscopy, imaging samples by SEM AFM techniques, swelling analysis pH 5.5 7.4, mechanical antioxidant assays, contact angle measurements, determination resveratrol release profile under mimicking conditions. incorporation into matrices resulted modifications chemical structure film morphology. characteristics additives found undergo deterioration. sample containing 10% exhibited higher degree than other films. resveratrol-modified demonstrated notable capacity, reduced angle, enhanced wettability. occurred rapidly initially, maximum 84% 56% released depending on type. Thus, proposed formulations have promising properties, particular good high potential, improved wettability, may serve dressings after further investigation.
