Background:Cynomorium songaricum Rupr. has long been used as an anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, and anti-aging agent in traditional Chinese medicine Asia. Its ethyl acetate extract (ECS) identified the main antioxidant component with neuroprotective estrogen-like effects. However, potential of ECS treating depression not explored yet. Methods: We primary metabolites this study using liquid chromatography-electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Network analysis was to find targets pathways associated anti-neuroinflammatory action ECS. In addition, we established a corticosterone (CORT)-induced mouse model assess ECS's antidepressant effects by monitoring various behavioral changes (e.g., sucrose preference, forced swimming, tail suspension, open field tests) biochemical indices hippocampus, validating network results. Significant underwent verification through western blotting based on prediction. Results: Our demonstrates that possesses significant activity. The LC-MS/MS 30 metabolites, including phloridzin, phlorizin, ursolic acid, naringenin, well other flavonoids, terpenoids, phenolic acids. These were found be 64 candidate target proteins related neuroinflammatory from database, ten hub filtration: CXCL8, ICAM1, NOS2, SELP, TNF, IL6, APP, ACHE, MAOA ADA. Functional enrichment analyses revealed their roles regulating cytokine production, inflammatory response, activity, tumor necrosis factor receptor binding. vivo, improved hippocampal neuroinflammation model. Specifically, reduced expression factors inhibited M1 microglial cell polarization, alleviated regulation NF-κB-NLRP3 inflammation pathway. Conclusion: Based experimental analysis, for first time exerted antidepression effect via anti-neuroinflammation. research provides valuable information use alternative therapeutic approach depression.

Zivzik pomegranate (Punica granatum) has recently sparked considerable interest due to its nutritional and antioxidant properties. To evaluate the capacities of P. granatum juice, ethanol (EEZP), water (WEZP) extracts from peel seed, methods 2,2'-azino-bis-3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonic acid radical (ABTS•+) scavenging, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl free (DPPH•) Fe3+-2,4,6-tris(2-pyridyl)-S-triazine (TPTZ) reducing, Fe3+ Cu2+ reducing were used. The samples compared with most commonly used synthetic antioxidants, i.e., BHA, BHT, α-tocopherol, Trolox. In terms setting an example, IC50 values EEZP for ABTS•+ DPPH• scavenging activities found be lower than standards, at 5.9 16.1 μg/mL, respectively. phenolic flavonoid contents in 59.7 mg GAE/g 88.0 QE/g, Inhibition α-glycosidase, α-amylase, acetylcholinesterase, human carbonic anhydrase II (hCA II) enzymes was also investigated. demonstrated 7.3 μg/mL against 317.7 19.7 acetylcholinesterase (AChE), 106.3 CA enzymes. A total 53 compounds scanned, 30 determined using LC-MS/MS. E. coli S. aureus bacteria resistant all four antibiotics as standards hospitals.

Ellagitannins (ETs) are a large group of bioactive compounds found in plant-source foods, such as pomegranates, berries, and nuts. The consumption ETs has often been associated with positive effects on many pathologies, including cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative syndromes, cancer. Although multiple biological activities (antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, chemopreventive) have discussed for ETs, their limited bioavailability prevents reaching significant concentrations systemic circulation. Instead, urolithins, ET gut microbiota-derived metabolites, better absorbed could be the molecules responsible antioxidant anti-inflammatory or anti-tumor cell progression. In this review, we examined dietary sources, metabolism, analyzed last recent findings ellagic acid, intestinal brain activities, potential mechanisms action, connection between microbiota metabolism consequences detected gut–brain axis. current vitro, vivo, clinical studies indicate that ET-rich individual microbiomes, urolithin types modulate signaling pathways promote beneficial health effects. Ellagic acid (EA) is a kind of polyphenol compound extracted from variety herbs, such as paeoniae paeoniae, raspberry, Chebule, walnut kernel, myrrh, loquat leaf, pomegranate bark, quisquite, and fairy herb. It has anti-tumor, anti-oxidation, anti-inflammatory, anti-mutation, anti-bacterial, anti-allergic multiple pharmacological properties. Studies have shown its anti-tumor effect in gastric cancer, liver pancreatic breast colorectal lung cancer other malignant tumors, mainly through inducing tumor cell apoptosis, inhibiting proliferation, metastasis invasion, autophagy, affecting metabolic reprogramming forms efficacy. Its molecular mechanism reflected the proliferation cells VEGFR-2 signaling pathway, Notch PKC pathway COX-2 pathway. PI3K/Akt JNK (cJun) mitochondrial Bcl-2 / Bax TGF-β/Smad3 induced apoptosis blocked EMT process MMP SDF1α/CXCR4 inhibits invasion cells, induces autophagy affects to produce effects. At present, analysis ellagic slightly lacking, so this study comprehensively searched literature on various databases, reviewed research progress acid, order provide reference theoretical basis for further development application acid.

There has been no chemical analysis of the fruit medicinal plant Jatropha podagrica until now. The current study aimed to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze J. using a high-resolution LC-MS strategy, i.e., library-comparison ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-Quadrupole-Orbitrap-tandem mass spectrometry. strategy putatively identified 46 compounds from fresh fruit. During putative identification, 10 isomers (e.g., (vitexin vs. isovitexin) were completely distinguished each other. Thereafter, all simultaneously quantified authentic standard comparison method. Finally, they also subjected 2,2′-azino bis (3-ethylbenzothiazolin-6-sulfonic acid radical (ABTS+•)-scavenging assay characterize their relative antioxidant capacities. Their capacities thus multiplied by contents calculate contribution values, respectively. Corilagin, gallic acid, ellagic phillygenin exhibited highest percentages thereby suggested as four top contributors. are recommended build up quality-markers (Q-markers) system fruits. All these findings can help develop fruits potential resource natural medicine.

Abstract Globally, breast cancer (BC) is the leading cause of cancer‐related deaths in women. Hence, developing a therapeutic plan to overcome disease crucial. Numerous factors such as endogenous hormones and environmental may play role pathophysiology BC. Regarding multi‐modality treatment BC, natural compounds like ellagic acid (EA) received has increased interest antitumor efficacy with lower adverse effects. Based on results this comprehensive review, EA multiple effects BC cells including (1) suppresses growth by arresting cell cycle G0/G1 phase, (2) migration, invasion, metastatic, (3) stimulates apoptosis MCF‐7 via TGF‐β/Smad3 signaling axis, (4) inhibits CDK6 that important regulation, (5) binds ACTN4 induces its degradation ubiquitin‐proteasome pathway, inducing decreased motility invasion cells, (6) PI3K/AKT (7) angiogenesis‐associated activities proliferation (reduces VEGFR‐2 tyrosine kinase activity). In conclusion, exhibits anticancer activity through various molecular mechanisms influence key cellular processes apoptosis, cycle, angiogenesis, metastasis However, further researches are essential fully elucidate targets implications for clinical applications.
