The relationship between nighttime fasting duration, potential factor, cognitive function has yet to be thoroughly investigated. Objective: To investigate association duration function. Methods: This cross-sectional study was based on data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2011 2014. Weighted linear regression utilized examine function, additional curve fitting inflection point analysis conducted further elucidate this Results: There negative (Learn: β = -1.2, 95% CI: -1.98, -0.43, P 0.006; Recall: -1.1, -2.11, -0.09, 0.036; Animal Fluency: -4.49, -7.26, -1.72, 0.004; Digit Symbol Substitution Test: -12.66, -19.30, -6.01, 0.002). Subgroup analyses showed that correlation prevalent most subgroups. Curve revealed scores, but did not identify point. Conclusions: Longer times may decline, either as continuous or categorical variable.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) and neurodegenerative diseases/disturbances are worldwide health problems. The most common chronic conditions diagnosed in persons 60 years older type 2 diabetes (T2DM) cognitive impairment. It was found that is a major risk for decline, dementia, Parkinson's disease (PD), Alzheimer's (AD), Huntington's (HD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) other disorders. Different mechanisms of associations between these diseases have been suggested. For example, it postulated an impaired intracellular insulin signaling pathway, together with hyperglycemia hyperinsulinemia, may cause pathological changes, such as dysfunction the mitochondria, oxidative stress inflammatory responses, etc. association diseases, well associations, needs further investigation. aim this review to describe mellitus, especially 1 (T1DM) selected i.e., disease, sclerosis. Suggested also described.

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a severe microvascular complication of diabetes, which increases the risk renal failure and causes high global disease burden. Due to lack sustainable treatment, DN has become primary cause end-stage worldwide. Gut microbiota its metabolites exert critical regulatory functions in maintaining host health are associated with many pathogenesis aging-related chronic diseases. Currently, theory gut–kidney axis opened novel angle understand relationship between gut multiple kidney In recent years, accumulating evidence revealed that their play an essential role pathophysiologic processes through axis. this review, we summarize current investigations microbial involvement progression DN, further discuss potential microbiota-targeted therapeutic approaches for DN.

Accumulation of amyloid-β in the central nervous system is a common feature Alzheimer's disease (AD) and diabetes-related cognitive impairment. Since insulin-degrading enzyme (IDE) can break down plaques, there considerable interest using this to treat both neurological disorders. In review, we have summarized pre-clinical clinical research on potential application IDE for improvement Furthermore, presented an overview main pathways that be targeted mitigate progression AD impairment caused by diabetes.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that leads to dementia and patient death. AD characterized by intracellular neurofibrillary tangles, extracellular amyloid beta (Aβ) plaque deposition, neurodegeneration. Diverse alterations have been associated with progression, including genetic mutations, neuroinflammation, blood-brain barrier (BBB) impairment, mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, metal ion imbalance.Additionally, recent studies shown an association between altered heme metabolism AD. Unfortunately, decades of research drug development not produced any effective treatments for Therefore, understanding the cellular molecular mechanisms underlying pathology identifying potential therapeutic targets are crucial development. This review discusses most common promising discovery. Furthermore, it highlights role in summarizes mathematical models AD, stochastic model effect Aβ on We also summarize treatment strategies these can offer clinical trials.

Abstract Background Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a metabolic disorder affecting many organs, including the testis. Naringin from orange peel extract (OPE) flavanone with fertility-enhancing properties. Hence, this study was designed to establish effect of naringin on T2DM-induced testicular dysfunction. Thirty male (30) Wistar rats were randomized into five groups control, diabetes, + naringin, OPE, and metformin. The administrations via oral route lasted for 28 days. Results ameliorated increase in FBS decrease serum insulin. It also abrogated sperm quality, gonadotropin-releasing hormone, luteinizing follicle-stimulating testosterone, estradiol, prolactin, catalase, superoxide dismutase, total antioxidant capacity. Furthermore, prevented malonaldehyde, tumor necrosis factor-alpha, C-reactive protein, xanthine oxidase (XO), uric acid (UA), it accompanied by restoration normal histoarchitecture. Conclusions dysfunction modulating XO/UA restoring redox balance. Also, while animals treated OPE exhibited better ameliorative effects than their counterparts findings showed that would be promising supplement treating infertility.

Abstract Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a degenerative characterized by progressive cognitive dysfunction. The strong link between nutrition and the occurrence progression of AD pathology has been well documented. Poor nutritional status accelerates progress potentially aggravating amyloid beta (Aβ) tau deposition, exacerbating oxidative stress response, modulating microbiota–gut–brain axis, disrupting blood–brain barrier function. advanced stage tends to lead malnutrition due impairments, sensory dysfunctions, brain atrophy, behavioral psychological symptoms dementia (BPSD). This, in turn, produces vicious cycle AD. This review discusses how factors deteriorate each other from early terminal stages AD, focusing on potential different levels factors, ranging micronutrients diet patterns. provides novel insights into reducing risk delaying its progression, improving prognosis. Highlights Two‐fifths cases worldwide have attributed modifiable factors. Up ≈26% community‐dwelling patients with are malnourished, compared 7%∼76% institutionalized patients.
