Probiotics are live microorganisms believed to confer health benefits when consumed appropriately. Prebiotics non-digestible food components that promote by encouraging the growth or activity of beneficial microorganisms. Synbiotics a combination probiotics and prebiotics. This study aimed assess knowledge awareness Palestinian healthcare professionals regarding probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics. A cross-sectional was conducted across West Bank using structured questionnaire, descriptive analysis performed SPSS. The results indicated 68.5% physicians 83.4% pharmacists were aware whereas only 37% 48% had Awareness synbiotics even lower, with 20% 26.6% reporting familiarity. These findings suggest while there is reasonable level about prebiotics significantly lacking, which limits their use. Enhancing these products could be facilitated through workshops, ongoing education, involvement medical representatives.

ABSTRACT Human microbiota‐associated murine models, using fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) from human donors, help explore the microbiome's role in diseases like Alzheimer's disease (AD). This study examines how gut bacteria donors with protective factors against AD influence behavior and brain pathology an mouse model. Female 3xTgAD mice received weekly FMT for 2 months (i) 80‐year‐old patient (AD‐FMT), (ii) a cognitively healthy 73‐year‐old APOEe2 allele (APOEe2‐FMT), (iii) 22‐year‐old donor (Young‐FMT), (iv) untreated (Mice‐FMT). Behavioral assessments included novel object recognition (NOR), Y‐maze, open‐field, elevated plus maze tests; (amyloid tau), neuroinflammation (in situ autoradiography of 18 kDa translocator protein hippocampus); were analyzed. APOEe2‐FMT improved short‐term memory NOR test compared to AD‐FMT, without significant changes other behavioral tests. was associated increased hippocampus, but no effect detected on amyloidosis tauopathy. Specific genera, such as Parabacteroides Prevotellaceae_UGC001 , enriched group neuroinflammation, while genera Desulfovibrio reduced linked decreased neuroinflammation. Gut factor induced regions strategic AD. The association several suggests collegial transplanted microbiome rather than single‐microbe driver effect. These data support between bacteria, glial cell activation, cognitive function

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is correlated with an increased cardiovascular risk, independent of other traditional risk factors. The mechanisms underlying this pathogenic link are complex yet remain incompletely elucidated. Among these, the most significant visceral adiposity, low-grade inflammation and oxidative stress, endothelial dysfunction, prothrombotic status, insulin resistance, dyslipidemia postprandial hyperlipemia, gut dysbiosis, genetic mutations. Cardiovascular diseases leading cause death in patients MASLD. These have incidence coronary artery disease, carotid structural functional cardiac abnormalities, valvulopathies, as well arrhythmias conduction disorders. In review, we present latest data on association between MASLD focusing that explain correlation these two pathologies. Given high rates morbidity mortality among MASLD, consider it imperative to raise awareness risks associated condition within general population. Further research essential clarify linked This understanding may facilitate identification new diagnostic prognostic biomarkers for patients, novel therapeutic targets.

Objective . To study modern ideas about the influence of intestinal microbiome, oral cavity and atherosclerotic plaque on development progression atherosclerosis (AS). Design methods The literature review was carried out by analyzing scientific publications in PubMed, meta-analyses, randomized clinical trials, as well guidelines articles within period from 1997 to 2024. This examines above-mentioned non-traditional risk factors (RF) for AS. Conclusions AS is a disease with multifactorial pathogenesis. Understanding role both classical non-classical RF vascular important effective preventive therapeutic measures. Among microbiome. fundamental mechanisms microbiota intestines include following: direct damaging effect lipopolysaccharides bacterial toxins wall, microbial metabolites increased permeability wall translocation into systemic bloodstream, chronic lowlevel inflammation endothelial dysfunction. abovedescribed
