Background: The positivity of anti-RNP autoantibodies as biological criteria for the diagnosis mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) has recently divided rheumatology community. Autoantigenicity U1-snRNP complex tends to generate multiple against RNP-A, -C and -70 KDa or Sm proteins. aim this study is identify most informative in clinical practice, particular, contribute differential between MCTD systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods: Sera from 74 patients positive were selected over a period one year laboratory practice. Autoantibodies directed extractable nuclear antigen, RNP proteins (A, C, 70 KDa) 40 kDa fragments RNP-70 investigated by using quantitative fluoroenzymatic assay Western blot analysis. Results: Among patients, diagnosed with SLE, 20 MCTD, six another autoimmune disease, three SARS-CoV-2 infection, cancer two healthy. No preferential association IgG IgM each was found SLE MCTD. In contrast, proportion component within showed significantly higher index than those (p = 0.011), good performance (sensitivity: 69.2%, specificity: 88.9%). Conclusions: analysis different more autoantibody separately. A follow-up could be about interest predictor evolution.

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a proinflammatory cytokine that mediates pleiotropic functions in immune responses and inflammatory diseases. The literature lacks studies, with clinical perspective, on the relationship between IL-6 serum levels characteristics of disease patients systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In present work, we aimed to analyze association circulating manifestations well-characterized series SLE. Serum activity (SLEDAI-2K), severity (Katz) damage index (SLICC-DI), complete lipid profile, subclinical carotid atherosclerosis were evaluated 284 addition, characterization complement system was performed samples from A multivariate linear regression analysis carried out study laboratory levels. Age (beta coef. 0.07 [95%CI 0.01–0.1] pg/mL, p = 0.014), C-reactive protein 0.21 0.16–0.25] < 0.01), male gender 2 0.3–0.5] 0.024), positively associated higher SLE patients. Most indices did not show significant relationships IL-6.
