The selection of an appropriate scaffold is imperative for the successful development alternative animal protein in form cultured meat or lab-grown meat. Decellularized tissues have been suggested as a potential production owing to their capacity support optimal environment and niche conducive cell proliferation growth. This approach facilitates systematic 3D laboratory. biomaterials characteristics high biocompatibility, biodegradation, various bioactivities, which could potentially address limitations associated with synthetic bio-scaffold materials. present study involved derivation characterization decellularized from mushroom tissue following subsequent assessment scaffold’s myogenic differentiation. Mushroom sections were soaked nuclease detergent solution 4 days. Furthermore, decellularization was confirmed by histology DAPI staining, showed removal cellular components nuclei. Myoblast cells seeded onto tissue, exhibited excellent cytocompatibility promoted growth study’s findings can serve foreground generation edible natural producing safe disease-free source protein, reducing burden on health sector caused conventional consumption.

Mushrooms, a diverse group of fungi, has captivated human interest for centuries due to their intriguing characteristics and versatile application. The nutritional profile, coupled with unique organoleptic qualities, renders mushrooms not only culinary delight, but also valuable component balanced diet. In addition, have gained recognition medicinal properties certain compounds found within them that exhibit promising pharmacological activities. Among the edible mushrooms, Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus spp.) is commercially important in global market widely cultivated consumed various parts world. Beyond appeal Pleurotus species, cultivation holds an environmental significance. These are efficient decomposers lignocellulosic biomass, contributing agricultural forestry waste recycling. Many researchers demonstrated how can serve as sustainable practice, reducing impact organic while generating food resource. Sri Lanka, oyster practiced on small scale self-employed cottage industry. Four main species namely P. djamor, eous, ostreatus, cystidiosus, Lanka. Obtaining efficient, cost-effective, substrate key factor promoting industry country, ensuring export-quality production. Recently, there been some attempts use unconventional materials, such used diapers, innovative eco-friendly approach, where high cellulose content diapers serves fungal growth, while, repurposing problematic non-biodegradable streams practices. a.

Mushrooms produce many metabolites that show biological activity, which can be obtained from their fruiting body, mycelium or recovered the culture broth when mushrooms are grown in submerged fermentation. a source of natural pharmaceuticals; they have been reported to potential inhibitory preventive activity against some diseases, including different types cancer. Cancer represents one main causes death worldwide. It is worth mentioning despite advances pharmacological treatments, still present side effects patients. In this sense, study use complementary treatments cancer great interest. Based on studies carried out in vitro and, cases, using animal models, it has observed preventive, corrective, and therapeutic properties cancer, by stimulating immune system, due antioxidant, antimutagenic, anti-inflammatory activities, as well regulation expression cellular processes, cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, etc. above, manuscript shows review scientific support anticancer and/or bioactive compounds.

Abstract This study was to establish an efficient strategy based on inoculum-morphology control for the submerged mycelial fermentation of edible and medicinal fungus, Inonotus hispidus. Two major morphological forms inoculum were compared, dispersed fragments versus aggregated clumps. The one more favorable fermentation, starting with a shorter lag period attaining higher biomass yield uniform mycelium pellets in shake-flasks. taken from shake-flask culture day 6 fragmented at 26,000 rpm homogenizer, shear time 3 min provided optimal inoculum. conditions further verified 5-L stirred-tank fermenters then scaled-up 100 L stirred-tank. With optimized process plus fed-batch operation, much productivities, including 22.23 g/L biomass, 3.31g/L EPS, 5.21g/L IPS, achieved 100-L fermenter than flask culture. Composition analysis showed that I. hispidus produced by rich protein, dietary fiber, polysaccharides which may be benefitical health. Overall, results have shown characteristics age, morphology state aggregation significant impact productivity fungus.
