The objective of this review article is provide a comprehensive overview recent advances the biosynthesis DTSAs, extraction from species endophytes, elucidation associated genes through genomic transcriptomic sequencing both spp. exploration biosynthetic pathways drawing conclusions outlining future perspectives field. Alkaloids, predominantly nitrogen-containing compounds found medicinal orchids, include over 140 types discovered across more than 50 species. identified 37 picrotoxane alkaloids, have distinctive five-membered nitrogen heterocyclic ring. This highlights endophytic fungi as alternative sources emphasizing potential pharmaceutical applications when plant-derived scarce or complex. Genomic endophytes has key involved DTSAs biosynthesis, elucidating such mevalonate (MVA) 2-C-methyl-D-erythritol 4-phosphate (MEP) pathways. Genes encoding enzymes, acetyl-CoA C-acetyltransferase diphosphomevalonate decarboxylase, positively with dendrobine production. Despite significant advancements, complexity terpenoid different subcellular compartments remains challenge. Future research should focus on leveraging high-quality data omics technologies further understand manipulate enhance use.

Dendrobine, a significant medicinal compound, typically accumulates at low concentrations within several Dendrobium species, including nobile, catenatum, and moniliforme. As D. nobile catenatum are established ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine have been cultivated extensively, they present ideal plant chassis for upscaling dendrobine production industrial research applications. This study employed two approaches: the ectopic overexpression of seven genes through multigene stacking activation multiple key endogenous synthesis pathway using CRISPR/Act3.0 either or catenatum. These methods enhanced transiently infiltrated leaves by 30.1% transgenic plants 35.6%. The is first to apply orchids, enhancing production, thus laying solid foundation further improvements. recently developed technique that demonstrates high efficiency model rice, maize, Arabidopsis. By combining CRISPR with transcriptional regulatory modules, metabolic can be achieved. successful application orchid molecular breeding reveals promising potential exploration.

Dendrobium nobile is an important orchid plant that has been used as a traditional herb for many years. For the further pharmaceutical development of this resource, combined transcriptome and metabolome analysis was performed in different parts D. nobile. First, saccharides, organic acids, amino acids their derivatives, alkaloids were main substances identified Amino derivatives flavonoids accumulated strongly flowers; saccharides phenols flowers fruits; leaves nucleotide its leaves, flowers, fruits. Simultaneously, genes lipid metabolism, terpenoid biosynthesis, alkaloid biosynthesis highly expressed phenylpropanoids flavonoid roots; other metabolisms leaves. Furthermore, members metabolic enzyme families like cytochrome P450 4-coumarate-coA ligase showed differential effects on tissue-specific accumulation. Members transcription factor AP2-EREBP, bHLH, NAC, MADS, MYB participated widely ATP-binding cassette transporters some also positive These results systematically elucidated molecular mechanism accumulation enriched library specialized products promising candidate genes.

Methyltransferase-like 23 (METTL23) is a kind of RNA methyltransferase that catalyzes the methylation transfer to N6-adenosine RNA, serving as one key mediators in this process. However, METTL23 gene has been poorly researched pigs. In study, we investigated genetic effects single-nucleotide polymorphism(SNPs) on reproductive traits Kele The DNA was extracted from 228 healthy multiparous sows, and Sanger sequencing revealed three SNPs, g.4804958 G > T (intron 2), g.4805082 C (exon g.4806821 A 3). polymorphism information content (PIC) for each SNP 0.264, 0.25, 0.354, indicating moderate (0.25 < PIC 0.5) providing information. Linkage disequilibrium analysis showed no strong linkage between SNPs. association individuals with GG genotype had significantly higher number piglets born alive, litter birth weight, weaned piglets, weaning weight compared those TT (p 0.05). Individuals group average than AA H4H4 diplotype significant Together, could be used candidate selection
