Abstract Aromatherapy using essential oils (EOs) is well known for its beneficial effects on mental health and neuroprotection. Aim: Environmental exposure constitutes a significant determinant in the pathogenesis of metabolic syndrome (MetS). Nevertheless, contribution environmental factors to MetS remains ambiguous. The present study was aimed at investigating correlation between serum terpenes and risk general population. Methods: A cross‐sectional conducted among 1266 individuals from 2013–2014 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Serum were analyzed using weighted logistic regression model.
