Background/Objectives: The safe completion of a non-invasive procedure is crucial to the success an endovascular approach. Chitosan, natural polysaccharide derived from chitin, ideal material for study and application medical devices in post-operative wound management. Methods: present work based on retrospective conducted sample patients treated with Axiostat (a sterile, single-use, non-absorbable dressing), composed 100% chitosan designed instantly stop bleeding through mucus adhesion mechanism treatment conditions such as Leriche’s syndrome. objective was evaluate efficacy safety hemostatic dressing undergoing anticoagulant and/or antiplatelet therapy whom procedures using axillary artery access site are performed treat Leriche Results: obtained results showed that effective promoting hemostasis at vascular even when prolonged required therapy. mean time 5.75 min all types considered.
