Background: Leiomyoma (LM) is the most commonly identified tumor in genital tract, occurring 70–80% of women. The only treatment option surgery, which significantly influences healthcare costs and negatively women’s survival reproductive capacity. Therefore, identifying safe effective chemopreventive modalities needed. Methods: We investigated effects 12 months daily curcumin (0, 25.8, 53 mg/kg) diet on incidence growth spontaneously developing LM tumors a galline (hen) model. Results: were detected 58.9% (53/90) control hens as spontaneous occurrences, while they observed 37.7% (34/90) 24.5% (22/90) treated with doses 25.8 mg or 53.0 mg, respectively, over months. This reduced development by 35% 58.5%, respectively (p = 0.004). also dose-dependent inhibition LM-tumor NF-κB, mTOR, p70S6K1, 4E-BP1 signaling inducing Nrf2/HO1 pathway induction collected from fed < 0.05). Curcumin intake notably levels TGF-β1, α-SMA, collagen type 1, 0.001). Conclusions: findings suggest that consumption reduces naturally LMs suppresses growth. indicates regular may be an preventive measure against LMs.

The topical administration of in situ hydrogels for ocular pathologies is a promising application strategy providing high effectiveness and patient compliance. Curcumin, natural polyphenol, possesses all the prerequisites successful therapy ophthalmic diseases, but unfortunately its physicochemical properties hurdle practical use. Applying composite thermoresponsive hydrogel formulation embedded with polymer nanoparticles potent to overcome identified drawbacks. In present work we prepared uniform spherical (296.4 ± 3.1 nm) efficiently loaded curcumin (EE% 82.5 2.3%) based on biocompatible biodegradable poly-(lactic-co-glycolic acid). They were thoroughly physicochemically characterized terms FTIR, SEM, TGA, DLS, vitro release following Fickian diffusion (45.62 2.37%), stability over 6 months. Their lack cytotoxicity was demonstrated HaCaT cell lines, potential antioxidant protection also outlined, starting from concentrations as low 0.1 µM reaching 41% at 5 µM. An (17% w/v poloxamer 407 0.1% Carbopol) suitable optimized respect gelation temperature (31.40 0.36 °C), gelling time (8.99 0.28 s) upon tears dilution, gel erosion (90.75 4.06%). Upon curcumin-loaded nanoparticle embedding, appropriate pseudoplastic behavior viscosity 35 °C (2129 24 Pa∙s), 6-fold increase permeation, prolonged h.

This review examines recent advancements in nanoparticle-based delivery systems for phytochemicals, focusing on their role overcoming multidrug resistance, improving therapeutic efficacy, and facilitating clinical translation. highlights advances nanoparticle-enabled phytochemical to enhance bioavailability, improve outcomes, enable targeted applications. By comparing various nanoparticle systems, formulation methods, efficacy data, it identifies gaps current research guides the development of more effective, next-generation phytochemical-loaded nanocarriers. A systematic literature published between 2000 2024 was conducted using PubMed, Scopus, Web Science. Articles cancer therapy were included. Compounds such as curcumin, resveratrol, quercetin, epigallocatechin gallate demonstrate enhanced anti-cancer when encapsulated nanoparticles, leading improved increased tumor cell targeting, reduced toxicity. Clinical trials indicate regression fewer adverse effects. Emerging approaches-such nanogels, hybrid combination therapies with immune checkpoint inhibitors-further refine treatment efficacy. Nanoparticle-based significantly potential making them promising candidates safer, effective treatments. However, challenges related regulatory guidelines, scalability, long-term safety must be addressed fully realize potential.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Conventional treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy are often associated with severe side effects limited effectiveness. Curcumin, a polyphenol derived from Curcuma longa, has demonstrated anti-inflammatory anticancer properties. A systematic review recent scientific literature followed PRISMA guidelines to evaluate benefits curcumin-enriched diet for adults colorectal cancer. Articles published between 2018 2024 were retrieved PubMed, SciELO, Google Scholar, Scopus. Studies meeting inclusion criteria focused on curcumin, adults, outcomes. The administration curcumin-containing products was improved survival rates, enhanced quality life, tumor reduction, effects. shows potential an effective adjunct therapy CRC patients, though its bioavailability effects, gastrointestinal discomfort, pose challenges. Addressing these limitations through larger cohorts, extended study durations, formulations enhance essential. Such efforts could enable development personalized dietary recommendations management.

This study explores the therapeutic potential of curcumin (CUR) in cancer therapy, specifically examining its targeted transport through folate receptors and interaction with certain proteins breast cell lines. We employed molecular docking technique to assess binding affinities CUR 1H1Q, 1UOM, 4JDD, 5U2D MCF10A normal epithelial line protein 5UGB. Out these, CUR-1H1Q complex exhibited greatest affinity. To stability this a biological setting, we conducted dynamics simulations 1H1Q-CUR for duration 100 ns. The demonstrated an extremely stable Cα-backbone, exhibiting consistently low root mean square deviation. radius gyration measurements suggested condensed structure specific areas flexibility. simulation revealed consistent hydrogen bond between indicating robust long-lasting two molecules. results indicate that cytotoxicity on MCF7 lines is mainly affected by interactions several found these cells. Among four tested, 1H1Q has influence. high affinity curcumin, which creation complexes, seems trigger death. Curcumin's biocompatibility toxicological effects were investigated both cancerous enhanced toxicity lines, while demonstrating reduced
