Preserved ratio impaired spirometry (PRISm) refers to a form of lung function deterioration, and previous studies have established the association with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Research has also shown between COPD lipid metabolism disturbances. Despite these findings, markers PRISm remains poorly understood. This analysis was conducted on 2007-2012 data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), including total 9,431 participants. The Non-High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol High-Density Ratio (NHHR) calculated based profiles, patients were classified according pulmonary tests. To explore NHHR PRISm, multivariable logistic regression used. A strong linear observed PRISm. In Adjusted Model 2, weighted revealed that each unit increase in increased chance developing by 8% (OR:1.08, 95%CI:1.01-1.16, P = 0.039).Participants within highest tertile demonstrated 1.36-fold likelihood presenting compared those lowest (OR:1.36, 95% CI: 1.01-1.83, 0.048). Additionally, Restricted Cubic Spline affirmed (P for non-linearity 0.637), while clear non-linear associations found FEV1% predicted 0.010) FEV1/FVC 0.023). Subgroup interaction tests significant effect among different waist circumference categories 0.020). Notably, individuals without abdominal obesity, showed positive (OR 1.23, 1.07-1.42, 0.01). These results indicate is positively associated significantly decline function. study offers distinctive perspectives may contribute avoidance management early-stage dysfunction.

Protein S-nitrosation, a redox post-translational modification elicited by nitric oxide (NO), is essential for modulating diverse protein functions and signaling pathways. Dysregulation of S-nitrosation implicated in various pathological processes, including oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion (OGD/R) injury, widely used model ischemia-reperfusion diseases. The dynamic changes S-nitrosothiols (SNOs) during highlight the need theranostic strategies to monitor modulate SNO levels based on progression. However, date, no have been reported addressing dysregulated disease models, particularly OGD/R conditions. Here, we report development selective probe P-EHC, which could specifically react with SNOs release EHC, not only exhibiting turn-on fluorescence high quantum yield good water solubility but also demonstrating macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) activity. In an SH-SY5Y cells, observed elevated using live-cell confocal imaging. Treatment P-EHC significantly reduced intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS), lowered total NOx species, improved cell viability model. summary, simplicity versatility suggest its broad applicability monitoring biological models therapeutic contexts,
