Household food waste poses significant environmental, social, and financial challenges. This systematic literature review examines the role of games gamification in mitigating waste, addressing four key research questions: how these interventions are applied, their impact on attitudes behaviors, specific mechanisms employed, measured outcomes. The analysis identifies a range strategies, including mobile applications, serious games, educational platforms, interactive installations. Theoretical frameworks such as Theory Planned Behavior, emotional engagement, systems thinking, cognitive load theory underpin interventions. Findings suggest that can enhance awareness, knowledge, behavioral change, with some demonstrating measurable reductions waste. In medium- and large-scale poultry farms, automated systems optimize key processes, from egg production grading to environmental control, reducing manual labor ensuring an optimal environment for the birds. However, these technologies remain largely inaccessible small family farms due high implementation costs. particular, selection of laying hens, essential process productivity, is still performed manually requires considerable time effort. This study presents development a modular, low-cost, minimally invasive IoT system automatic detection hens in family-run farms. Additionally, enables monitoring utilizes LoRaWAN networks efficient long-range data transmission. The collected are stored on centralized platform integrated with web, mobile, messaging applications provide real-time access information. modular architecture, developed using open-source software, ensures replicability, scalability, adaptability different environments. feasibility has been validated through field trials real-world environment, demonstrating effective performance, low costs, farmer satisfaction, user highlighting its positive impact farm management.
