Background: One strategy related to household waste management is increase public awareness and participation in control minimize the overall generation entering environment. Precisely Mekarsari Village, Padasuka Subdistrict, Cimahi City, there a self-help community called Magotsuka, which has managed organic of 1.5 tons per month using BSF technology. Increase strengthen perception RW 07 regarding with technology Magotsuka Community so that it hoped will be reduction volume at TPS. Method: The method used was FGD leaders, socialization sorting sociocultural approach residents, diffusion research results form cassava fertilizer for farming. This activity carried out September – November 2022. Results: strengthened community, increased, amount deposited increased by 100%. understands importance waste, especially waste. It feels benefits processing from namely fertilizer, been researched easy use growing crops home. Technology transfer makes faster more efficient. Conclusion: A highly recommended managing urban

Abstract Cyathostomins are common digestive tract parasites of grazing horses that spread through contact with horse feces. Horse feces colonized by a variety organisms, some which could serve to reduce parasite loads in pastures. Black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens L.; Diptera: Stratiomyidae) larvae (BSFL) be an ideal candidate for biological control cyathostomins, due their near-global distribution, low risk pathogen transmission, ability develop on nutrient-poor substrates (including manure), and dramatic effect microbial communities cyathostomins depend on. Here, using controlled feeding bioassays, we evaluated the BSFL cyathostomin egg densities manure while also tracking performance relative standard grain-based diets. We found consumed less substrate, were slower reach prepupal stage, ultimately yielded biomass when reared compared However, reduced average over 3-fold. Overall, our results suggest despite being poor substrate growth, effectively infected manure, though mechanisms they do this uncertain. While known transform within diversity rearing substrates, larger, parasitic organisms animal manures may underappreciated. Promoting decomposition might promising approach managing populations among horses.

Black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) treatment offers a promising avenue for manure valorization. However, there is lack of larval density studies and ton-scale exploration in swine bioconversion. This study delves into the efficiency fatty acid (FA) bioconversion, examining impact on kilogram scale extending analysis to ton scale. Across range 50 600 larvae/kg, FA content decreased from 15.3% 7.85%. The peak yield, at 3.04% (based dry matter), occurred 200 larvae/kg. Both low (50 larvae/kg) high (600 densities adversely affected BSFL bioconversion performance. Dominant FAs included C12:0 (39.7%), C16:1 (24.2%), C18:1 (17.5%), C16:0 (8.3%). scaling-up process maintained consistent composition but resulted yield due increased mortality. Ultimately, each yielded 12.4 kg fresh or 0.71 components, corresponding 1.14% yield. underscores feasibility upscaling using emphasizes necessity large-scale enhance survivorship efficiency.
