With the increasing severity of heavy metal pollution in soil and water, phytoremediation is becoming increasingly popular because its low cost, high returns, environmental friendliness. The use leguminous plants such as broad bean for remediation a research hotspot their symbiotic relationship with rhizobia. This study investigated cadmium (Cd) ability fava beans by M. crassicauda feeding on or not using both hydroponic cultures containing varying concentrations Cd. Under conditions, Cd content increased significantly following aphid invasion. while decreased after infestation under cultivation conditions. Aphid solution. However, there were no significant changes germination rate phenotype. We also found that prolonged treatment activities stress-related antioxidant enzymes beans, including superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, malondialdehyde. After consumption crassicauda, levels total sugar underwent changes. These results demonstrate only exhibit tolerance but can effectively absorb ions from water. Moreover, pest enhance efficiency, making them potential targets pollution.
