Abstract Life tables allow the exploration of insects’ and terrestrial arthropods’ biology, how they respond to external factors. Data collection process has been partially standardized, but presentation results mainly depends on purpose study. Two different data representations can be obtained from raw dataset: differential representation provides distribution stage‐development times, while integral number individuals into life stages, over time. The provide relevant biological information, lead a loss information with respect dataset. To date, conceptual explanation two data, their respective properties, is still missing; moreover, providing dataset as supporting published papers not customary. This paper highlights three main points: (i) are dataset; (ii) without it possible switch between representations, subsequent information; (iii) why there need for standard. further completed by an electronic file that could support sharing, automatically transform in representations. We believe this study first step toward more efficient diffusion among scientific community, maximizing efforts made scholars during experimental analysis process.

The fall webworm is an injurious pest for many host plants in agriculture, forest, and urban environments. Recent observations showed that the faster spread of this can be supported by temperature increases, with a subsequent higher severity outbreaks impact on environment. Traditional chemical control not effective pest, while biological valuable alternative, especially if native natural enemies are used. In study, performance Turkish populations two parasitoids—Chouioia cunea Psychophagus omnivorus—at different temperatures evaluated. Laboratory trials were conducted climatic chambers under five constant (10, 15, 20, 25, 30 °C) cold storage conditions (6 12 periods 30, 45 days. optimal developmental upper thermal threshold parasitoids similar, C. lower temperature. Both species could develop survive between 20 °C, whereas development below °C cunea, 15 P. omnivorus was possible, respectively. Chouioia cunae less tolerant to changes than terms offspring survival, development, reproduction, parasitism. Under temperatures, did into adults. This study provided relevant eco-biological information further support programmes.
