This study is intended for forest owners considering options to increase the efficiency of production seedlings in automated nurseries. The automated grading of Scots pine seeds in the near-infrared wavelength region (NIR grading) is a starting point for further actions, such as coating and priming. When choosing a technology for restoring forest landscapes, the quality of seed material is significant factor. Preservation in conditions large-scale harvesting Scots pine seeds (Pinus sylvestris L.) possible with development permanent plots, (or) use modern technologies separating without loss genetic diversity increasing not only germination energy, but also vitality seedlings, their stability change abiotic factors.
