Eating
disorders
(ED)
are
severe
psychiatric
conditions.
While
the
biological
consequences
of
EDs
well
established,
including
an
increase
in
inflammatory
biomarkers,
influence
psychological
factors,
such
as
loneliness,
has
only
recently
gained
attention
research.
Loneliness

Abstract
Background
Adolescence
has
emerged
as
a
particularly
vulnerable
phase
during
the
COVID-19
pandemic,
with
eating
disorders
(EDs)
representing
prominent
psychopathological
challenge
linked
to
restrictions
imposed
by
pandemic.
Emerging
evidence
suggests
that
not
only
individuals
EDs
but
also
their
healthy
siblings
(HS)
may
experience
unique
psychological
effects
in
this
context.
However,
existing
literature
on
topic
remains
limited.
This
study
seeks
examine
and
compare
of
pandemic
adolescents
adults,
specific
focus
impact
containment
measures,
disruptions
daily
routines,
alterations
life
trajectories,
for
both
HS.

individuals,

Introduction
The
COVID-19
pandemic
has
significantly
impacted
global
mental
health,
exacerbating

prevalence
and
severity
of
Eating
Disorders
(EDs).

Abstract
Objective
Despite
an
increase
in
eating
disorder
(ED)
cases
during
the
COVID‐19
pandemic,
there
are
limited
longitudinal
studies
exploring
treatment
outcomes.
The
aims
of
present
study
were:
(1)
to
compare
clinical
features
patients
with
EDs
whose
onset
was
lockdown
(pandemic
cohort)
against
prior
pandemic
(pre‐pandemic

therapy
responses
between
cohorts.
