Background: Patients with panic disorder (PD) may experience increased vulnerability to dissociative and anxious phenomena in the presence of repeated traumatic events, these be risk factors for development complex post-traumatic stress (cPTSD). The present study aims find out whether cPTSD exacerbates anxiety symptoms patients suffering from this is specifically associated occurrence symptoms. Methods: One-hundred-and-seventy-three diagnosed PD were recruited divided into two groups based on (or absence) using International Trauma Questionnaire (ITQ) scale. Dissociative assessed Cambridge Depersonalization Scale (CDS) Hamilton Anxiety (HAM-A), respectively. Results: Significant differences re-experienced PTSD (p < 0.001), avoidance hyperarousal DSO dysregulation 0.001) found between cPTSD-positive cPTSD-negative groups. A statistically significant association total scores HAM-A CDS scales was regression analysis. Conclusions: This highlights potential link a more severe clinical course anxiety-related conditions PD. Early intervention programs prevention strategies are needed.

Abstract Stress affects the brain and alters its neuroarchitecture function; these changes can be severe lead to psychiatric disorders. Recent evidence suggests that astrocytes microglia play an essential role in stress response by contributing maintenance of cerebral homeostasis. These cells respond rapidly all stimuli reach brain, including stressors. Here, we used a recently validated rodent model post-traumatic disorder which rats categorized as resilient or vulnerable after acute inescapable footshock stress. We then investigated functional, molecular, morphological determinants resilience vulnerability prefrontal cortex, focusing on glial neuronal cells. In addition, examined effects single subanesthetic dose ketamine, fast-acting antidepressant approved for treatment resistant depression proposed other stress-related The present results suggest prompt cell activation NF-κB pathway stress, leading increase specific cytokines such IL-18 TNF-α. ABSTRACT Previous research established a connection between childhood psychological abuse (CPA), common but understudied form of child maltreatment, and symptoms posttraumatic stress. However, the CPA complex PTSD remains underexplored. This study investigated relationship CPA, appraisals (i.e., fear, alienation, betrayal, self‐blame, anger, shame), among sample 263 college students using structural equation modeling. The model uncovered significant direct indirect effects, demonstrating association appraisals. Further, were significantly associated with symptoms. effect on via was significant, confirming mediating role demonstrated substantial explanatory power, explaining 51.9% variance in 94.7% Implications for counselors are discussed

Abstract Background Multiple traumatic experiences, particularly in childhood, may predict and be a risk factor for the development of complex post-traumatic stress disorder (cPTSD). Unfortunately, individuals with bipolar (BP) are more likely to have suffered events than general population. Consequently, cPTSD could comorbid BD, this negatively affect psychopathological manifestations. To date, no one has explored whether such comorbidity also affects response treatment mood stabilizers BD patients. Results Here, cross-sectional study was carried out by comparing treatment, measured Alda scale, cohort 344 patients diagnosed type I II, screened presence (or absence) using International Trauma Questionnaire. The main result that emerged from present is poorer compared without cPTSD. Conclusions results collected suggest need an add-on therapy focused on trauma This represent area future interest clinical research, capable leading precise quicker diagnoses as well suggesting better tailored effective treatments.
