It is uncontroversial that lecture notetaking influences academic success (Dunkel & Davy, 1989). However, the influence of modality (i.e., handwriting vs. typing) on this association remains contentious (e.g., Bui et al., 2013; Gaudreau 2014; Kutta, 2017; Manzi Morehead 2019a; Mueller Oppenheimer, 2014). This research aimed to provide a comprehensive examination effects and method transcription paraphrasing) performance. Individuals use social, emotional, and behavioral (SEB) skills to build maintain social relationships, regulate emotions, manage goal-directed behaviors. A promising integrative framework of SEB was recently proposed, showing that they matter for positive outcomes during adolescence. Nothing is known about how whether differ between 12 19 years old such differences depend on gender (males or females). Uncovering their age trajectories fundamental because are highly needed this period life. Educators, psychologists, policymakers need understand when, why, interventions concerning should be potentially considering male female profiles. To cover gap, we cross-sectionally analyzed data from 4106 participants (2215 females, 12-19 old). We highlighted in the five domains (self-management, innovation, cooperation, engagement, emotional resilience). The importance of social, emotional, and behavioral (SEB) skills is recognized worldwide, but their measurement has always been a challenge. BESSI measures 32 SEB skills, divided into five domains (social engagement, cooperation, self-management, emotional resilience, innovation), its validity must be expanded to new languages contexts. Across two studies (N1 = 990, N2= 824) we developed the Italian version BESSI, provided further support for convergent discriminant with Big Five, nomological network procrastination, self-efficacy, emotion regulation. BESSI-I showed excellent internal reliability satisfactory fit indices at facet, domain, overarching framework level. We also confirmed correlations between Five personality traits found meaningful selected external outcomes. Overall, confirm that valid useful instrument assess research clinical purposes.

Arithmetic achievement holds particular significance in contemporary times; however, students continue to encounter difficulties this domain. Researchers and organizations are actively seeking factors that can support navigating mathematical content. To address gap, we propose an examination of the role played by six soft skills (adaptability, curiosity, initiative, leadership, perseverance, social awareness), alongside self-regulated learning strategies, academic motivation, emotions, fluid reasoning abilities, students' performance on standardized arithmetic tasks. Data were gathered from 551 Italian aged 11–18 through classroom-based paper-and-pencil tasks questionnaires. Path analysis results reveal only negative emotions significantly correlate with performance. Soft demonstrate indirect relationship performance, mediated motivation (while not positive strategies). These findings underscore increasingly recognized expand their relevance achievement, potentially suggesting novel psychoeducational interventions bolster realm.
