Caves can be regarded as extreme environments, and fungi are known omnipresent highly adaptable organisms that easily colonize such environments. The primary objective of this study was to use the statistical analysis sequences stored in NCBI database, together with related metadata, find uncover statistically significant distribution patterns occupying different substrata inside caves. obtained list included a total 1447 corresponding isolated from various within cave environments around world, which corresponds 445 fungal species, members 394 genera. Ascomycota most dominant phylum Eurotiomycetes class dwellers these highest species richness is detected for genus Penicillium (57), followed by Aspergillus (51). On other hand, frequently documented single Pseudogymnoascus destructans, mostly hibernating bats guano, chrysogenum. Because caves have stable, nutrient-limited, low-competition microhabitats support unusual or cryptic many new taxa been reported well (such Aspergillus, Apiotrichum, Cephalotrichum species). Finally, cutting-edge molecular technologies better sampling methods revealing hitherto undiscovered diversity worldwide.
