Synthesis of copper oxide (CuO) nanostructures via biological approach has gained attention to reduce the harmful effects chemical synthesis. The CuO were synthesized through a green using Garcinia mangostana L. leaf extract and (II) nitrate trihydrate as precursor at varying calcination temperatures (200-600 °C). effect on structural, morphological optical properties was studied. red shifting green-synthesized nanoparticles' absorption peak observed in UV-visible spectrum, energy bandgap found decrease from 3.41 eV 3.19 increased. Magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgO-NPs) were synthesized using the fungal strain Aspergillus terreus S1 to overcome disadvantages of chemical and physical methods. The factors affecting biosynthesis process optimized as follows: concentration Mg(NO3)2·6H2O precursor (3 mM), contact time (36 min), pH (8), incubation temperature (35 °C). characterization biosynthesized MgO-NPs was accomplished UV-vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning microscopy—energy dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX), diffraction (XRD), dynamic light scattering (DLS). Data confirmed successful formation crystallographic, spherical, well-dispersed with a size range 8.0–38.0 nm at maximum surface plasmon resonance 280 nm. biological activities including antimicrobial activity, biotreatment tanning effluent, chromium ion removal investigated. highest growth inhibition pathogenic Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans achieved 200 μg mL–1 MgO-NPs. exhibited high efficacy decolorize effluent (96.8 ± 1.7% after 150 min 1.0 µg mL–1) greatly decrease parameters total suspended solids (TSS), dissolved (TDS), oxygen demand (BOD), (COD), conductivity percentages 98.04, 98.3, 89.1, 97.2, 97.7%, respectively. The peel aqueous extract of Punica granatum was utilized to fabricate zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) as a green approach. synthesized NPs were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and scanning microscopy, which attached an energy dispersive (SEM-EDX). Spherical, well arranged, crystallographic structures ZnO-NPs formed with sizes 10-45 nm. biological activities ZnO-NPs, including antimicrobial catalytic activity for methylene blue dye, assessed. Data analysis showed that the against pathogenic Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria, unicellular fungi, observed occur in dose-dependent manner, displaying varied inhibition zones low minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values ranges 6.25-12.5 µg mL-1. degradation efficacy (MB) using is dependent on nano-catalyst concentration, contact time, incubation condition (UV-light emission). maximum MB percentages 93.4 ± 0.2% attained at 20 mL-1 after 210 min presence UV-light. there no significant difference between 210, 1440, 1800 min. Herein, four endophytic fungal strains living in healthy roots of garlic were used to produce selenium nanoparticles (Se-NPs) via green synthesis. Penicillium verhagenii was found be the most efficient Se-NPs producer with a ruby red color that showed maximum surface plasmon resonance at 270 nm. The as-formed crystalline, spherical, and well-arranged without aggregation, ranged from 25 75 nm size zeta potential value -32 mV, indicating high stability. Concentration-dependent biomedical activities P. verhagenii-based observed, including promising antimicrobial activity against different pathogens (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, C. glabrata, tropicalis, parapsilosis) minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) 12.5-100 µg mL-1. biosynthesized antioxidant DPPH-scavenging percentages 86.8 ± 0.6% 1000 mL-1 decreased 19.3 4.5% 1.95 Interestingly, also anticancer PC3 MCF7 cell lines IC50 225.7 3.6 283.8 7.5 mL-1, respectively while it is remaining biocompatible normal WI38 Vero lines. The current study describes the synthesis of magnesium oxide by four different approaches including green, microwave, sol–gel, hydrothermal methods. synthesized (MgO) nanoparticles were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), high-resolution scanning electron microscopy (HRSEM), energy-dispersive analysis (EDAX) techniques. MgO NPs screened for antibacterial against Gram-positive strains, Enterococcus faecalis Staphylococcus aureus, two Gram-negative cultures, Escherichia coli Klebsiella pneumoniae, concentrations. results indicated excellent activity both bacteria at 50 mg/mL hydrothermally produced nanoparticles, with a maximal zone inhibition (ZOI) 5 mm S. 7 E. faecalis, 6 K. pneumoniae.
