Introduction: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) can be defined as a major complication of Diabetes Mellitus that often results in infections and amputations. Wound care is outmost importance, for with appropriate management, further problems do not occur the wound heals. Negative Pressure Therapy (NPWT) silver-releasing foam dressings are two modalities management DFUs. Objectives: This proposal sought to determine effectiveness NPWT healing diabetic reduction ulcer size over six-week period. Materials Methods: study was quasi-experimental, 120 patients across PNS Hafeez Hospital Islamabad were selected. Patients randomly allocated either group or dressing group. They include time taken wounds heal period six weeks. Results: achieved faster 19.7 days had greater percentage mean area reduction, 38.7%, than 24.9 26.5%, respectively. Conclusion: confirms more effective reducing DFU accelerating healing. promotes re-epithelialization due its vacuum effect. However, drug-releasing remain beneficial, especially when unavailable. Treatment choice should consider patient needs resources. Further research larger samples longer observation needed validate these findings assess long-term impacts.
