After mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), autonomic nervous system dysfunction is thought to contribute exercise intolerance and self-reported postconcussive symptoms (e.g. dizziness, lightheadedness, fog) but little has been done establish this relationship in the literature. Through recent literature review, it appears that few studies have assessed both function intolerance, for those utilized varying methodologies making comparison across difficult. Some emerging research identified potential impairment within sympathetic after mTBI no between tolerance testing established. For neuropsychologists, a physiologic understanding of scope appropriate assessment vitally important, as impact sleep mood, subsequently cognitive mental health. When working collaboration with other disciplines, referrals laboratory based assessments may occur. However, given lack an established evidence, use and/or related clinically insinuate likely premature, more thorough via batteries appropriate.
