Delineating urban growth boundaries (UGBs) by combining the land-use/land-cover (LULC) change simulation method has become common in recent studies. However, few of existing studies have integrated multi-source big data to analyze driving factors LULC dynamics simulation. The escalating pace of urbanization and human activities presents formidable challenges to landuse patterns ecological environments. Achieving a harmonious coexistence between humans nature high quality has emerged as global imperative. Constructing an security pattern become essential approach mitigating the adverse impacts urban sprawl, safeguarding well-being, promoting healthy development ecosystems. Focusing on ecosystem sustainability, stability, integrity, this study constructed in rapidly urbanizing areas, emphasizing achieving well-balanced integration expansion preservation. Ecological sources were identified by evaluation system “ecosystem service function–ecological sensitivity–landscape connectivity”. Resistance surfaces integrating natural factors. corridors nodes extracted methods such minimum cumulative resistance gravity models. Taking Nanchang City example, results show that there 15 sources, primarily woodland, displaying distinct “island” phenomenon. Additionally, 41 with combined length 2170.54 km, exhibiting dense distribution southwest sparse northeast. city was found encompass 122 nodes, predominantly situated along near indicating strong spatial aggregation pattern. An optimized “one ring, two belts, three zones, multiple nodes” proposed for synergizing protection, restoration, rapid urbanizing.

An ecological security pattern is an essential natural solution for promoting the coordinated and sustainable development of urban growth environment within a given region. This study aims to develop comprehensive (ESP) Jinjiang watershed by integrating multiple service functions: regulation, eco-product provisions, human settlement services. Using well-established methodology “source identification—resistance surface construction—ecological corridor extraction”, we identified 322 source areas delineated 321 corridors spanning 1941.67 km, with key connecting regulation sources ordinary primarily linking provisions sources. Our results show that northern hilly regions are significant Anxi County services scattered across river valleys. integration enhances regional sustainability provides model similar coastal globally. findings offer scientific guidance balancing preservation, contributing worldwide.

Urban development boundaries are efficient tools for coordinating urban–rural relations and ensuring sustainable development. The essential significance of forest ecological corridors primarily revolves around their role in enhancing and maintaining balance the environment. However, an aspect that has not been adequately addressed is potential terms recreational services. Focusing on main urban area Daqing City, this research investigates integration objectives, adopting “ecology-humanity” composite perspective. (1) Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis (MSPA) connectivity analyses were employed to identify sources construct resistance framework, then delineated under scenarios using Minimum Cumulative Resistance (MCR) model; (2) then, system was refined ArcGIS network analysis for scenarios; (3) finally, study examined layout routes, aiming integrate optimal humanistic configuration aligns with dual objectives. spatial distribution City’s reveals a pattern where densely constructed areas predominantly feature less-developed regions are characterized by corridors.
