The rapid construction of expressways in China has brought significant economic and social benefits, but it also imposed substantial ecological pressures, particularly sensitive regions. Landscape risk assessment, as an important means to predict measure the adverse effects human activities on environment, is being paid more attention. However, most studies focus static landscape mosaic pattern lack dynamic analysis. Moreover, they mainly effect road operation stage, ignoring monitoring analysis whole process. Based this, current study examines land use changes along Linghua Expressway Gansu Province using high-resolution GF-1 remote sensing imagery. A assessment (LERA) model was employed quantify assess risks before after expressway between 2018 2022. results revealed a decrease cropland forest land, accompanied by increase grassland areas. index decreased from 0.318 0.174 2022, indicating improvement resilience. high-risk zones remain near expressway, emphasizing need for continuous proactive management strategies. These findings contribute sustainable infrastructure planning, ecologically
