Climate change threatens global livestock production through rising temperatures, erratic rainfall, and extreme events. Enhancing system resilience is now a strategic priority for adaptation practitioners, policymakers, researchers, other stakeholders committed to food security rural livelihood sustainability. Although research on expanding, comprehensive synthesis of its thematic evolution, performance, knowledge gaps remains limited. This study addresses this gap bibliometric analysis 3,217 publications from 1994 2023, retrieved the Scopus database. Analytical tools such as Biblioshiny VOSviewer were used data processing visualization. Findings reveal consistent growth in output, particularly post-2007, with United States, China, France emerging leading contributors. Prominent authors include Sejian V., Wang X., Li Y., while influential journals comprise Agricultural Systems, Journal Animal Science, Tropical Health Production. Thematic trends indicate shift early physiological studies (1994–2003) toward genetic diversity adaptive traits (2004–2013), more recently (2014–2023), focus heat stress, methane emissions, sustainable breeding. The current landscape emphasizes adaptation, precision breeding, climate mitigation strategies. Future should deepen exploration selection feed innovations, integrating indigenous interdisciplinary approaches. Policy support management practices will be critical ensuring long-term viability systems under changing climate.
