Introduction: Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease due to bacterial origin; it has a chronic course and progresses by immunosuppressive therapy. However, adjuvant therapies such as photobiomodulation (PBM) melatonin can reduce the severity of inflammation inhibit progression periodontitis. Therefore, present study evaluated effects PBM melatonin, therapies, on periodontal healing in immunosuppressed rats with Methods: Random allocation was performed 36 albino Wistar rats, divided into following groups: control, periodontitis, immunosuppressant only, immunosuppressant+PBM, immunosuppressant+melatonin, immunosuppressant+melatonin+PBM. caused ligature all groups, except for control group. Subcutaneous administration dexamethasone groups immunosuppression. All group received scaling root planning (SRP). Each subdivided three equal subgroups according evaluation period: (A), one week, (B) two weeks (C), 4 weeks. Histological examination done haematoxylin & eosin Masson’s Trichrome healing. Statistical Analysis data using chi-square test. The significance level set at P≤0.05. Results: Regarding response healing, histological revealed statistically significant difference treated comparison untreated (P<0.001). combined application resulted best presented lower better when compared other Conclusion: After considering circumstances this research, combination 650 nm diode laser output power 100 mw minute sessions appeared be beneficial adjunct

Background and Objectives: This paper aims to assess the role of laser therapy in periodontitis through an innovative approach involving computational prediction advanced modeling performed network analysis (Gaussian graphical models—GGMs) structural equations (SEM). Materials Methods: Forty patients, exhibiting periodontal pockets with a minimum depth 5 mm, were randomly divided into two groups: control group group. Four specific indicators measured for each tooth, namely pocket (PPD), clinical attachment level (CAL), bleeding on probing (BOP), plaque index (PI), mean six values was recorded at five time markers (baseline, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 4 years). The assessment algorithm included enrollment, measurements, differential non-surgical treatment, according allocation. Scaling, root planing, chlorhexidine 1% conducted group, scaling, planing erbium, chromium:yttrium-scandium-gallium-garnet (Er,CR:YSGG) Results: main results highlight that addition treatment scaling led notable improvements, decreasing PPD values, reducing BOP scores, increasing CAL. Conclusions: Notable relationships between considered highlighted by both GGMs SEM, thus confirming their suitability as proxies success treatment.
