Background
Retail

retailers.
The
COVID-19
pandemic
highlighted
the
need
for
retail
sectors
prepare
crisis
impacts
sales
forecasts
by
regularly
assessing
adjusting
volumes,
consumer
behavior,
models
adapt
changing
conditions.
Methods
This
study
explores
strategies
adapting
approaches
in
response
such
crises.
By
employing
different
machine
learning
(ML)
methods,
we
analyze
behavior
changes
across
various
product
categories,
including
bottom
wear,
top
one
piece,
accessories,
outwear,
shoes
during
pandemic.
Results
gradient
boosting
CatBoost
algorithms
excelled
groups
with
Multi-Layer
Perceptron
(MLP)
algorithm
performed
well
low-volume
categories
like
accessories
footwear.
Meanwhile,
MLP,
LightGBM,
XGBoost
were
effective
medium-volume
as
outerwear
underwear.
