This study proposes an innovative method for the harmless treatment of barium slag using industrial by-product Flue Gas Desulfurization Gypsum. Barium is a carbonate production process, and due to its high content ions corrosive properties, it poses significant threat environment human health. It classified as barium-containing hazardous waste (code HW47) in China. In this study, was optimally combined with FGD gypsum, utilizing synergistic precipitation mechanism solidify easily leachable form stable sulfate minerals. Mechanical heavy metal leaching tests showed that harmlessly treated had certain compressive strength, concentration leachate below national identification standards (100 mg/L) drinking water quality (0.7 mg/L). Microstructural analysis X-ray diffraction, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy indicated gypsum promotes solidification slag, through mechanism, low-solubility minerals are formed. also has low cost good potential resource utilization, providing effective technical support green waste.
