Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), sourced from various organisms, including aquatic life, are promising alternatives to combat antibiotic resistance. Their investigation is essential amid global resistance concerns. The invaluable impact of antibiotics on human health, having saved numerous lives, currently at risk. growing incidence antibiotic-resistant bacteria poses a serious challenge their ability effectively treat illnesses. This situation demands immediate attention and the exploration alternative medical solutions. One most antimicrobial which can bacterial infections, particularly those brought by multi-drug-resistant pathogens. With particular focus properties, this systematic review aims evaluate classify recent AMPs isolated organisms. advances knowledge these life-derived AMPs’ potential as conventional examining unique antibacterial characteristics modes action. A articles published in English between 2014 2024 was carried out Science Direct, PubMed NCBI Google Scholar databases using keywords inclusion exclusion criteria. total 33 organisms had been reported, 21 were reported have functional activities. Continuous research study natural substances, AMPs, remain critical pursuing for effective treatments combating Therefore, ongoing holds significant importance identifying harnessing future applications.

Black soldier fly (BSF) meal possesses a balanced nutritional profile, making it promising substitute for fishmeal. Several studies have been conducted to investigate the effects of replacing fishmeal with BSF on fish immune response and antioxidant capacity. However, considering varying different species demonstrated in earlier studies, meta-analysis study was imperative determine efficacy aquafeed. This examined 38 finfish. Subgroup analysis meta-regression were source heterogeneity immunostimulant meal. Categorical variables used subgroup included development stage (larvae versus prepupae or pupae), processing method (full-fat defatted), dietary habits. Two continuous evaluated analysis: inclusion level treatment duration. The datasets assessed publication bias using funnel plots Egger's test Pustejovsky–Rodgers Approach. results revealed that influences performance ability. indicated stages significantly influence meals, pupae outperforming larvae. In terms processing, full-fat superior defatted BSF. Furthermore, highest omnivorous fishes. Meta-regression outcomes higher concentration may inhibit ability duration exerts little impact. conclusion, present is ingredient aquafeed improve

Abstract This study investigated the effects of dietary nucleotides (NTs) on hematological indices, hepatic biomarkers, antioxidant capacity, digestive functions, and intestinal histomorphology Sterlet sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus). Over 10 weeks, five diets with varying NT levels (0 g/kg, 1.5 2.5 3.5 5.0 g/kg) were fed to triplicate groups fish (initial weight: 95.33 ± 1.23 g) in a flow-through system. Results indicated no significant differences RBC, Hb, MCHC, HCT, EOS among (p > 0.05). The highest WBC count was seen g/kg diet compared control < Serum enzyme generally decreased higher supplementation, although ALT increased significantly at level Antioxidant capacity improved 0.25 0.35 NTs 0.05), while serum MDA up but Protease amylase activity peaked receiving lipase Intestinal histology revealed that exhibited greatest villi height width, along more goblet cells In conclusion, present optimum for positive physiometabolic responses intestine functions lies range 2.2–3.6 g/kg.
