Skin aging, autonomic mobility, memory function and physical deterioration are important features of effective anti-aging treatments in slowing down these processes. The objective this research was to evaluate the protective effect Colla Corii Asini (Ejiao) Collagen Peptides (CCACPs) on D-galactose (D-gal) injection combined with UV irradiation-induced senescence mice. BY-HEALTH collagen oral solution (Bcos) used as a positive control. Behavioural experiments showed that CCACPs significantly improved voluntary activity, learning exercise endurance aging Elisa results reduced levels matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) MMP-3 skin, acetylcholinesterase (AChE) brain, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) azelaic (AST) liver mice, while increasing I skin SOD brain. RT-qPCR revealed expression p16, p19 p21 genes hippocampus, well IL-6 skin. Histological analysis brain confirmed effects CCACPs. findings indicated may potentially slow caused by UVB exposure mice reducing cellular oxidative stress levels. provide scientific basis for continuing advance extraction peptides from potential therapy.

Using sunscreens is one of the most widespread measures to protect human skin from sun ultraviolet radiation (UVR) damage. However, several studies have highlighted toxicity certain inorganic and organic UV filters used in for marine environment health. An alternative strategy may involve use natural products origin counteract UVR-mediated Ovothiols are sulfur-containing amino acids produced by invertebrates, microalgae, bacteria, endowed with unique antioxidant UV-absorption properties. This study aimed evaluate protective effect synthetic L-5-sulfanyl histidine derivatives, inspired ovothiols, on dermal fibroblasts (HDFs) upon UVA exposure. By using a custom-made experimental set-up assess screening ability, we measured levels cytosolic mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS), as well cell viability apoptosis HDFs, presence tested compounds, after exposure, flow cytometry assays specific fluorescent probes. The results show that derivatives display capacity prevent loss viability, production ROS induced exposure subsequent apoptosis. Overall, this sheds light potential applications marine-inspired developing eco-safe UVR protection.
