Abstract
Asthma
and
sleep-related
respiratory
disorders
represent
common
well-characterized
pathologies,
yet
ongoing
debates
persist
regarding
their
association
potential
bidirectional
relationship.
We
performed
a
literature
search
encompassed
PubMed
MEDLINE,
exploring
studies
publications
on
the
overlap
of
sleep
apnea
asthma,
especially
considering
risk
factor,
obesity.
Observational
studies,
including
prospective
retrospective
cohort
meta-analyses,
case
reports,
were
analyzed.
The
available
data
indicate
relationship
between
asthma
obstructive
(OSA),
with
each
condition
influencing
other.
