Background Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by pruritus and barrier dysfunction. This study aims to evaluate the therapeutic potential of Pelargonium graveolens (Geraniaceae) in managing AD symptoms through its essential oil. Methods The chemical composition flower oil (PFEO) was analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Its antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties were assessed, along with inhibitory effects PFEO on key enzymes involved repair: tyrosinase, elastase, collagenase. An vivo evaluation gel formulation containing also conducted assess analgesic efficacy. Results GC-MS analysis identified major compounds PFEO, including Geraniol (22.83%), beta-citronellol (19.51%), naphthalenemethanol (15.36%), Geranyl tiglate (9.38%), minor constituents such as linalool (3.81%) neryl formate (1.31%). exhibited bacteriostatic activity against various bacterial fungal strains, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Methicillin-Resistant aureus (MRSA), Bacillus anthracis, Streptococcus pyogenes, epidermidis, Candida albicans, Malassezia spp. demonstrated significant antioxidant inhibited linked alterations AD. Conclusions shows promising for atopic due properties, well effects. findings support further exploration natural alternative treatment AD.

The increase in the nutritional awareness of consumers has meant that products with high value, sensory attractiveness, and safety are currently being sought on market. One aspects which innovativeness a food product can be considered is preservation method. Fermentation one oldest methods. In practice, biopreservation primarily method using non-pathogenic microorganisms and/or their metabolites to microbiological extend shelf life. Advances microbiology genetic engineering, taking into account various sources microbiota isolation, have rediscovered fermentation process allowed us obtain innovative functional products. Recently, bacteriocins gained importance. For many years, they been applied as biopreservatives manufacturing, alone or combination other preservatives. most promising perspective seems development combined systems including natural preservatives (i.e., bacteriocin lipopeptides), emerging non-thermal technologies, methods such encapsulation nanotechnology active packaging. this paper, narrative review presented analyze recently published literature regarding role microbial produced antibacterial compounds biopreservation. New technologies an alternative artificial were also discussed.

The prevalence of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in meat and products is a significant public health challenge, largely driven by the excessive inappropriate use antimicrobials animal husbandry. In Poland, key producer Europe, antibiotic-resistant pathogens such as Campylobacter spp., Staphylococcus Enterococcus Listeria monocytogenes, Enterobacterales have been detected meat, posing serious risks to consumers. This review examines antimicrobial agents production resulting resistance (AMR) microorganisms isolated from Poland. mechanisms AMR, genetic factors, Poland are presented. It highlights factors contributing antibiotic misuse livestock farming, discusses legal regulations governing veterinary drug residues food. emphasizes importance monitoring enforcement safeguard calls for further research on AMR industry. Antimicrobial huge requiring stricter controls husbandry improved surveillance systems. Additionally, impact practices environment food requires research. Future efforts should focus nationwide monitoring, alternative strategies reduce use, stronger combat protect health.

Probiotics and their derivatives offer significant health benefits by supporting digestive health, boosting the immune system, regulating microbiomes not only of internal gastrointestinal track but also skin. To be effective, probiotics must exhibit robust antimicrobial activity, resilience to adverse conditions, colonization capabilities in host tissues. As an alternative animal-derived probiotics, plant-derived lactic acid bacteria (LAB) present promising advantages, including enhanced diversity tolerance challenging environments. Our study focuses on exploring potential LAB, particularly from medicinal plant Centella asiatica , improving skin conditions. Through a bacterial isolation procedure C. leaves, Enterococcus rotai CMTB-CA6 was identified via 16S rRNA sequencing, whole genome bioinformatic analyses. Based genomic analysis, antimicrobial-resistance virulence genes were detected. Additionally, functions E. characterized its lysates’ ability regulate microbes, such as stimulating growth Staphylococcus epidermidis while inhibiting that Cutibacterium acnes restore viability human dermal fibroblasts under inflammatory demonstrate effective antioxidant activities both cell-free system fibroblasts. investigation revealed efficacy lysates suggesting use probiotic-derived agent for care products. Considering ecological relationship between plant-inhabited plants, we suggest utilization strain fermenting plant, could novel approach efficiently enriching bioactive molecules benefits.

The body's normal microflora is disrupted by antibiotics, which do not distinguish between good and harmful bacteria. This results in vitamin deficiencies. They undermine the host's defenses reducing population of helpful bacteria gastrointestinal system vaginal area. Due to beneficial effects they have on human wellness, including immune metabolism, probiotics are considered be an "organ" metabolic system. From a therapeutic standpoint, these substances employed for purpose both prevention treatment across diverse range medical conditions. Diarrhea, colorectal cancer, diabetes, hypertension, Helicobacter pylori -related acute pancreatitis, ventilator-associated pneumonia, migraine headaches, autistic spectrum disorder all examples such issues. Probiotics can influence immunological activity number ways. These include triggering adaptive or innate responses, changing gut bacterial composition, increasing barrier integrity, attaching competitively mucosa epithelium, generating antimicrobial chemicals. finding emphasizes need more probiotic research cure prevent illnesses.
