Abstract Antibiotic resistance is a paramount global health issue, with numerous bacterial strains continually fortifying their against diverse antibiotics. This surge in levels primarily stems from the overuse and misuse of antibiotics human, animal, environmental contexts. In this study, we advocate for exploring alternative molecules exhibiting antibacterial properties to counteract escalating antibiotic resistance. We identified synthetic antimicrobial peptide (AMP) by using computational search AMP public databases further engineering through molecular docking dynamics. Microbiological evaluation, cytotoxicity, genotoycity, hemolysis experiments were then performed. The designed underwent rigorous testing antibiofilm activities Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) Escherichia coli ( E. ), representing gram-positive gram-negative bacteria, respectively. Subsequently, safety profile was assessed vitro human fibroblast cells blood sample. selected demonstrated robust efficacy MRSA , an added assurance non-cytotoxicity non-genotoxicity towards fibroblasts. Also, did not demonstrate any hemolytic activity. Our findings emphasize considerable promise as viable agent, showcasing its potential combat effectively.

Objectives: Campylobacter spp. remain a leading cause of bacterial gastroenteritis worldwide, with resistance to antibiotics posing significant challenges treatment and public health. This study examines profiles in antimicrobial (AMR) for isolates from human animal sources over the past decade. Methods: We conducted comprehensive review data studies spanning ten years, analyzing key antibiotics, ciprofloxacin (CIP), tetracycline (TET), erythromycin (ERY), chloramphenicol (CHL), gentamicin (GEN). Data were collated various regions assess global regional patterns resistance. Results: The analysis reveals concerning trend increasing patterns, particularly CIP TET, across multiple regions. While CHL GEN remains relatively low, high prevalence has significantly compromised options campylobacteriosis. Discrepancies observed between isolates, variations different continents countries. Notably, ERY showed variability, reflecting potential differences usage management practices. Conclusions: findings underscore ongoing challenge AMR Campylobacter, highlighting need continued surveillance research. rising prevalence, coupled discrepancies emphasize importance One Health approach address AMR. Enhanced monitoring, novel strategies, cooperation are crucial mitigating impact ensuring effective Campylobacter-related infections.

A total 680 samples were collected (n = 300) 380) products between January December 2023. was detected 21% (63/300) 15.8% (60/380) samples, with non-typhoidal (NTS) being predominant serovar. High (AMR) rates observed across both food types, most common resistances found ciprofloxacin (48%), tetracycline (44%), ampicillin (39%). Genotypic analysis revealed presence key genes, including blaTEM (35%), tetA (29%), sul1 (23%). Virulence identified invA (92%), agfA (80%), hilA (76%) as prevalent genes. Comparative patterns higher to tetracycline. highlights significant factors retail poultry, suggesting a potential risk public health need for enhanced surveillance control measures environments.
