Periodontal pathogens and obesity in the context of cardiovascular risks across age groups

Cardiovascular
diseases
(CVDs)
are
the
leading
cause
of
mortality
and
morbidity
among
noncommunicable
diseases.
Over
past
decade,
there
has
been
a
notable
increase
in
prevalence
CVDs
young
individuals.
Obesity,
well-known
risk
factor
for
CVDs,
is
also
associated
with
various
comorbidities
that
may
contribute
to
cardiovascular
risk.
The
relationship
between
periodontal
pathogens
CVD
factors,
including
obesity,
smoking,
lipid
metabolism
disorders,
inflammatory
markers,
remains
underexplored.
This
study
examined
six
(Porphyromonas
gingivalis,
Aggregatibacter
actinomycetemcomitans,
Treponema
denticola,
Tannerella
forsythia,
Prevotella
intermedia,
Fusobacterium
nucleatum)
factors
189
subjects
stratified
by
age
body
mass
index
(BMI).

Abstract
Background
Poor
oral
health
is
associated
with
several
non-communicable
diseases
including
cardiovascular
disease.
There
are
also
well-known
associations
between
lifestyle
habits,
disease,
and
health.

Europe,
SCORE2
a
recommended
instrument
for
assessing
an
individual's
risk
of
event
within
10
years.
However,
no
previous
studies
have
examined
the
association
self-rated
SCORE2.
Using
data
from
cohort
40-
50-year-old
individuals
in
Swedish
primary
healthcare,

cross-sectional
study
investigated
self-reported

Abstract
Ischemic
stroke
due
to
large
vessel
occlusion
results
from
the
blockage
of
a
major
cerebral
artery
by
clot;
however,
origins
and
molecular
composition
these
clots
remain
poorly
understood.
Mechanical
thrombectomy
has
become
standard
treatment
remove
obstructive
clots,
providing
unique
opportunity
analyze
their
properties.
We
previously
demonstrated
that
blood
can
clot
into
an
amyloid-like
form,
generating
fibrinaloid
microclots
(2–200
μm)
are
highly
resistant
fibrinolysis.
In
this
study,
archived
eight
ischemic
patients
with

examined,
using
samples
stored
in
Walton
Centre
Clot
Bank
Liverpool,
UK.
All
exhibited
strong,
heterogeneous
amyloid
staining,
revealing
pervasive
component.

Therefore,

to
explore

for

microbiome’s

research

chemotherapeutics.
This
review
aims
summarize
knowledge
regarding
oropharyngeal
