In recent years, there has been increasing interest in the study of extremophilic microorganisms, which include halophiles and halotolerants. These able to survive thrive optimally a wide range environmental extremes, are polyextremophiles. this context, one main reasons for studying them is understand their adaptative mechanisms stress caused by extreme living conditions. paper, fungal strain Penicillium chrysogenum P13, isolated from saline soils around Pomorie Lake, Bulgaria, was used. The effect elevated concentrations sodium chloride on growth morphology as well physiology model investigated. P. P13 demonstrated high tolerance NaCl, showing remarkable liquid agar media. order establish relationship between salt- oxidative stress, changes cell biomarkers such oxidatively damaged proteins, lipid peroxidation, levels reserve carbohydrates studied were evaluated. involvement antioxidant enzyme defense adaptive strategy halotolerant against NaCl
