The

Sharing

government
investment
in
infrastructure

Underground
mines
are
considered
one
of
the
riskiest
facilities
for
human
activities
due
to
numerous
accidents
and
geotechnical
failures
recorded
worldwide
over
last
century,
which
have
resulted
in
unsafe
labor
conditions,
poor
health
outcomes,
injuries,
fatalities.
One
significant
cause
these
is
inadequate
or
nonexistent
capacity
real-time
monitoring
safety
conditions
underground
mines.
In
this
context,
new
emerging
technologies
linked
Industry
4.0
paradigm,
such
as
sensors,
Internet
Things
(IoT),
LoRaWAN
(Long
Range
Wide
Area
Network)
wireless
connectivity,
being
implemented
planning
efficient,
safe,
sustainable
performance
mine
environments.
This
paper
studies
implementation
an
ecosystem
composed
IoT
sensors
LoRa
connectivity
a
data-acquisition
system,
eliminates
need
expensive
cabling
manual
mining
operations.
Laying
cables
necessitates
cable
support
protection
against
issues,
machinery
operations,
vehicle
movements,
operator
activities,
groundwater
intrusion.
As
expands,
additional
typically
require
costly
installations
unless
employed.
The
results
review
indicate
that
LoRaWAN-based
sensor
network
(WSN)
provides
data
under
complex
effectively
transmitting
through
physical
barriers.
presents
attractive
low-cost
solution
with
reliable,
simple,
scalable,
secure,
competitive
characteristics
compared
manually
collected
readings,
more
sporadic
prone
error.
Reliable
on
behavior
enhances
productivity
by
improving
key
indicators
(KPIs),
minimizing
accident
risks,
promoting
environmental
operators.
Finally,
adoption
information
real-time,
supports
better
decisions
industry
managers,
ensuring
compliance
regulations,
productive
performance,
fostering
roadmap
towards
environmentally
friendly

R-S
