Hand sanitizer usage has proven to be a common and practical method for reducing the spread of infectious diseases which can caused by many harmful pathogens. There is need alcohol-free hand sanitizers because most on market are alcohol-based, regular use them damage skin hazardous. India world’s largest producer fruits one major problems after fruit consumption their peels, causing waste management contributing formation greenhouse gases leading air pollution adding problem climate change. Valorization such wastes into other value-added products incorporation formulations eco-friendly would solve these issues, save environment, benefit society, help in achieving sustainable development goals. Thus, this research focuses formulating an effective natural that harnesses antimicrobial properties various types bioactive components found peels pomegranate, sweet lime, lemon. The peel extracts formulated proved considerable activity against pathogenic Escherichia coli microflora. Molecular docking was also applied examine ligand-protein interaction patterns predict binding conformers affinity phytocompounds towards target proteins COVID-19, influenza, pneumonia viruses. affinities protein-ligand interactions virtual studies revealed bind with amino acids proteins’ active sites via hydrogen bonding interactions. As result, it possible formulate natural, from germs viruses using basic structure potential findings.

Bergaptol (5-hydroxypsoralen or 5-hydroxyfuranocoumarin) is a naturally occurring furanocoumarin widely found in citrus fruits, which has multiple health benefits. Nonetheless, no specific review articles on bergaptol have been published. Compiling updated information crucial guiding future research direction and application. The present focuses the evidence related to pharmacological properties toxicity of bergaptol. anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti-osteoporosis, anti-microbial, anti-lipidemic effects. It can inhibit activities cytochrome P450s (CYP), especially CYP2C9 CYP3A4, thereby affecting metabolism concentrations some drugs toxins. Compared with other coumarins, least potency CYP3A4 cancer cells. Instead, it suppress drug efflux transporters, such as P-glycoprotein, overcoming chemotherapeutic resistance. Furthermore, antimicrobial effects high potential for inhibition quorum sensing. In vivo, be retained plasma longer than coumarins. Nevertheless, its not clearly reported. vitro study suggests that, unlike most furocoumarins, phototoxic photomutagenic. Existing mostly conducted vitro. Further vivo clinical studies are warranted identify safe effective doses multimodal

Doxorubicin (DOX) is an anthracycline antibiotic primarily utilized in the treatment of various solid tumors, including those affecting cervix, ovaries, breasts, uterus, lungs, as well certain blood cancers. However, nephrotoxicity connected to DOX therapy restricts its clinical use. In Ancient Chinese Medicine used Lime (Citrus. aurantifolia) Peel was employed address cramps, colic pain, cold, and appetite stimulant. known "Zhi qiao" Traditional (TCM), addition nephroprotective, antioxidant immunostimulatory properties peel had been noted for effectiveness regulating vital energy, treat cough, abdominal distention constipation. The purpose this research evaluate potential protective effect Citrus aurantifolia extract (CAPE) alleviating generated by doxorubicin injection rats. Thirty Wister albino rats were randomly equally separated into six groups (n = 5), they treated follows: group I received distilled water only (baseline), toxicant administered with 15 mg/kg, i.p. DOX, 24 hours after, II, III IV, V VI (negative control), Alpha lipoic acid, 150 mg/kg (positive control) 100, 200 400 CAPE respectively, orally seven days. caused kidney injury after a single intraperitoneal injection, shown substantial changes biomarkers, histological irregularities, reduction defense mechanisms (reduced glutathione, superoxide dismutase catalase). resulted significant improvements amended renal biomarkers (urea, creatinine, albumin uric acid), haematological parameters, antioxidative markers, malondialdehyde. present findings indicated that could reduce lipid peroxidation (LPO) reactive oxygen species production, observable supported result. Our results point out therapeutic alternative prevention DOX-related nephrotoxicity.

With the increasing number of cosmetic consumers emphasizing value consumption and sustainability, upcycling has gained attention as a solution to agricultural by-products, which are main culprits environmental problems. In this study, we isolated citrulluside T with whitening activity from discarded Citrullus lanatus stems investigated anti-melanogenic effect underlying mechanisms. We found that did not exhibit cytotoxicity up concentration 90 μM significantly reduced melanin content intracellular tyrosinase in B16F10 cells. addition, inhibited expression melanogenic enzymes such tyrosinase, tyrosinase-related protein (TRP)-1, TRP-2, well synthesis via cAMP-dependent kinase (PKA)/cAMP response element-binding (CREB)-mediated downregulation microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF), key melanogenesis. Furthermore, exerted its by downregulating β-catenin upregulating phosphorylated β-catenin. Finally, confirmed was safe for skin through irritation tests on 33 subjects, suggesting applicability protective agent against hyperpigmentation topical applications cosmetics ointments.

Drug development from medicinal plants constitutes an important strategy for finding natural anticancer therapies. While several plant secondary metabolites with potential antitumor activities have been identified, well-defined mechanisms of action remained uncovered. In fact, studies often focused on the genome, transcriptome, and proteome, dismissing relevance metabolome discovering effective plant-based drugs. Metabolomics has gained huge interest in cancer research as it facilitates identification uncovers metabolomic alterations that occur cells response to treatment. This holds great promise investigating mode target metabolites. Although metabolomics made significant contributions drug discovery, this area is still ongoing. review, we emphasize significance research, which continues be a technique drugs spite all challenges encountered. As well, provide insights into essential elements required performing analyses.

The natural human environment is inhabited by various organisms, including those harmful to the body such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other pathogens. This condition weakens immune system's response pathogens, making more susceptible diseases rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, inflammations. In some cases, this can be fatal, leading death. study aims examine immunomodulatory effects of Ethanol Extract Lime Peel on phagocytosis activity delayed-type hypersensitivity in experimental animals. research methods include sample collection processing, plant identification, extract preparation, effect testing. Phytochemical screening results showed presence alkaloids, glycosides, flavonoids, tannins, steroids lime peel. Simplicia ethanol peel characterization yielded meet standards Indonesian Herbal Pharmacopoeia 2nd edition. Immunomodulatory testing was conducted through assays. that at doses 25, 50, 100 mg/kgBW had immunostimulatory enhancing activity, while 17.5 mg/kgBW, 35 70 significantly increased compared negative control. These findings indicate potential Citrus aurantifolia an immunomodulator enhance body's system. provides important contribution development therapy derived from ingredients for managing immunity-related with lower side effects.
