Abstract Background In Thai traditional history, Ya-Kao (YK) is a medicine used to relieve fever. Several folk healers have recommended the use of YK for COVID-19 during pre-treatment, treatment, and post-treatment. The Department Traditional Alternative Medicine (DTAM) has accepted COVID-19-infected patients been observing its effectiveness in clinical study. Fourteen plants are main raw materials formula, which currently lacks scientific information support properties. study aims investigate chemical profile biological properties by measuring antibacterial anti-inflammatory effects, in vitro Methods investigated formula based on plant using High-Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC). vitro, activity was conducted agar disc diffusion TLC-bioautography. nitric oxide (NO) production assay RAW 264.7 macrophages inflammatory effect induced lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Results This successfully explores HPTLC method analyzing quality materials. Whereas pharmacological property examined. YK-lime juice extract exhibits most effective against both gram-positive gram-negative bacteria. addition, methanolic inhibited Streptococcus pyogenes Klebsiella pnuemoniae TLC-bioautography method. Furthermore, extracts methanol, water, lime demonstrate significant properties, evidenced notable reduction NO macrophage model LPS. Conclusions Overall, these data could YK, medicine. It may be consumed reduce inflammation co-infection not only but also other respiratory infections.

Research on the potential anticancer effects of citrus has been widely published in scientific journals. Still, a bibliometric analysis concerning this topic not executed. This study employed mapping to analyze articles related from Scopus Database and visualized results using VOSviewer. In review, 442 papers between 1995 2023 were selected. Jeju National University South Korea is recognized as top contributor. According analysis, apoptosis are two specific keywords field with highest co-occurrence. The other selected hesperidin, naringenin, nobiletin, apoptosis, flavonoids. We also found following steps research area: formulation, synthesis, vivo preclinical studies. trends have shifted crude extract practical applications flavonoid compounds structure modification improve their properties. clinical trials humans lacking area should be further investigated embrace flavonoids an candidate. provide comprehensive understanding effect citrus.
