Introduction To explore the origin and evolution of Ligusticum Chuanxiong, we conducted a component analysis Chuanxiong its medicinal relatives. Methods This study encompassed seven species from various origins, including ( chuanxiong Hort.), Gansu cv. Gansu), Yunnan Yunnan), Japanese Cnidium officinale Makino), Fuxiong sinense ‘Fuxiong’), Gaoben ), Liaogaoben jeholense comprising 27 distinct materials. We employed headspace solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) to identify odor profiles these using electronic nose technology (E-nose). The method effectively identified volatile constituents in leaves species. Results indicated that differences between L. relatives were predominantly observed sensors W1W W1S. Linear discriminant factor (LDA) successfully distinguished five relatives; however, exhibited high similarity, limiting complete differentiation some samples. HS-SPME-GC-MS total 118 constituents, with eight differential volatiles identified: trans-Neocnidilide, β-Caryophyllene, β-Selinene, 5-Pentylcyclohexa-1,3-diene, (E)-Ligustilide, Butylphthalide, Neophytadiene, Senkyunolide. Hierarchical cluster (HCA) grouped , together, highlighting close relationship . Joint revealed significant positive correlation sensor suggesting potential for distinguishing closely related Discussion provides foundational understanding components E-nose combined HS-SPME-GC-MS, contributing discussion on their interspecific characteristics relationships.

Background Multidrug-resistant bacterial pathogen P. aeruginosa has emerged as a significant global health challenge, underscoring the urgent need to identify and develop alternative therapeutic agents including plant natural products. In this study, extract from Clidemia hirta was analyzed for antibacterial properties against Pseudomonas component composition. Material Methods The obtained leaves of C. its activity determined in Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion assay. assay, tested at two different concentrations 50 100 μg/mL. minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) used with MIC values Vero cells determine selectivity index. GC-MS phytochemical composition extract. property components bind target receptor Penicillin Binding Protein 2a (7KIS) assessed silico studies docking molecular dynamics (MD) analyses. these analyses, stability interaction protein complexed selected components. Results extracts had , inhibition zones measuring 13 mm 19 μg/mL concentrations, respectively. be 20 μg/mL, while index 4.54, indicating antibiotic potential. One component, 2, 4-di-tert-butylphenol compound holds binding affinity −6.2 kcal/mol studies. MD simulations revealed stable interactions between 7KIS ligands, characterized by reduced atomic fluctuations energetically favorable profiles. Conclusion This study showed that robust potential . Furthermore, profiling docking, dynamic simulation data such might attributed one 4-di-tert-butylphenol. Further, vivo vitro are needed show applicability bioactive compounds combating resistant pathogens.

ABSTRACT Neuroinflammation is a hallmark of various neurodegenerative disorders, yet effective treatments remain limited. This study investigates the neuroprotective potential cannabidiol (CBD)‐Rich Cannabis sativa L. (CS) extract in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‐induced neuroinflammation mouse model. The effects on anxiety‐like behavior, cognitive function, and locomotor activity were assessed using behavioral tests (open field, elevated plus maze, novel object recognition, Morris water maze). Antioxidant was measured by assaying glutathione (GSH) levels lipid peroxidation by‐products (TBARs). Anti‐inflammatory properties evaluated quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (QRt‐PCR) for proinflammatory cytokines (IL‐6 TNF‐α), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) mRNAs prefrontal cortex (PFC). Astrocytic bioenergetics analyzed extracellular flux assays. Additionally, computational inference with deep learning approach conducted to evaluate synergistic interactions among CS phytocompounds CB1 receptors. Compared synthetic CBD, (20.0 mg/kg) demonstrated superior efficacy mitigating LPS‐induced deficits, impairments. It also significantly mitigated oxidative stress (increased GSH, reduced TBARs) suppressed GFAP mRNAs, indicating potent anti‐inflammatory properties. modulated expression preserved metabolic homeostasis cortical astrocytes, preventing their shift from glycolysis phosphorylation under neuroinflammatory conditions. Computational modeling highlighted conformational changes residues induced Delta‐9‐THC that enhanced CBD binding. These findings underscore as therapeutic candidate managing its associated consequences, warranting further clinical exploration.
