Cancer has a high rate of incidence and mortality throughout the world. Although several conventional approaches have been developed for treatment cancer, such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy thermal therapy, they remarkable disadvantages which result in inefficient cancer. For example, immunogenicity, prolonged treatment, non-specificity, metastasis cost are considered major drawbacks chemotherapy. Therefore, there is fundamental requirement development breakthrough technologies cancer suppression. Polysaccharide-based drug delivery systems (DDSs) most reliable carriers therapy. Polysaccharides, kind practical biomaterials, divided into types, including chitosan, alginates, dextran, hyaluronic acid, cyclodextrin, pectin, etc. Polysaccharides extracted from different natural resources (like herbal, marine, microorganisms, etc.). The potential features polysaccharides made them candidates therapeutics to sites; simple purification, ease modification functionalization, hydrophilicity, serum stability, appropriate loading capacity, biocompatibility, bioavailability, biodegradability stimuli-responsive sustained release manner considerable aspects these biopolymers. This article presents a comprehensive overview of recent advancements in natural product extraction, focusing on the evolution from deep eutectic solvents (DESs) to systems (DESys) for extraction. DESs, known their environmentally friendly properties, have become crucial extracting various products plants, including micromolecules, lignin, and polysaccharides. Research into extraction mechanism reveals that target compounds typically form hydrogen bonds with effectively becoming part solvent system. insight has led development DESys method, where bond acceptors (HBAs) donors (HBDs) are directly mixed sample system containing compounds. The shift DES-based DESys-based introduces innovative approaches integral system, allowing one-step dissolution methodology eliminates need pre-prepared simplifying processes enhancing efficiency. Additionally, strategies DESs recycling reuse contribute sustainability efforts, offering cost-effective solutions. expanding applications cosmetics, food, industry, environmental fields highlight promising potential. A simple, green, and efficient ultrasound-assisted deep eutectic solvents (DESs) extraction followed by high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector was established to detect four liposoluble anthraquinones in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. root. In this study, a series of polarity-adjustable DESs were prepared using n-hexanol tetrabutylammonium chloride, their structure, density, viscosity, pH, thermal stability determined. The conditions for optimized through single-factor experiments response surface methodology. kinetic thermodynamic properties associated with the investigated. results showed that standard curves excellent linearity from 0.018 150 µg mL-1 (r > 0.9998). detection quantification limits varied 5.04 5.60 ng 16.81 18.67 mL-1, respectively. recoveries measured as 84.1%-95.1%, relative deviations not exceeded 4.6%.

As widely used in traditional Chinese medicine and nutritional food, Polygonati Rhizom is known for its diverse pharmacological properties, including hematopoiesis, immune enhancement, antitumor, anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant, antiaging, antiviral, hepatoprotection. polysaccharides (PRPs) are primary bioactive compounds that water‐soluble mainly comprise fructose (Fru), glucose (Glc), galactose (Gal), arabinose (Ara), rhamnose (Rha), fucose (Fuc), xylose (Xyl), glucuronic acid (GlcA), galacturonic (GalA). Meanwhile, different extraction methods, such as hot water ultrasonic extractions, can significantly affect the yield of PRPs, Additionally, PRPs were also reported to hold promising potential a drug carrier. Herein, extraction, structure elucidation, biological activities, carrier applications systematically summarized, providing reference further research development Rhizom.
