Background: antihyperglycemic effects of a nanoherbal formulation derived from Ocimum basilicum L in managing Diabetes Mellitus (DM), growing global health concern. With DM cases projected to rise sharply, this experimental research is timely, especially Indonesia which has high prevalence undiagnosed diabetes. Materials And Methods: In the study, seven groups rats (each with five weighing 200-250 grams) were utilized: normal group, negative control positive group treated metformin, and four varying doses (25, 50, 100, 200 mg/kg body weight). The diabetic state was induced using combination Streptozotocin (STZ) Nicotinamide (NCT), elevating blood glucose levels above mg/dL. Results: results promising. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels, an indicator oxidative stress, highest receiving weight dose treatment, surpassing even metformin group. Similarly, insulin most elevated matching suggesting substantial antidiabetic effect. Malondialdehyde (MDA) marker lipid peroxidation, decreased significantly nearly restoring values. Conclusion: These findings highlight potential tomato-based as therapeutic option for diabetes management. However, mechanisms action human application require further investigation.

Asthma is among the most prevalent non-communicable diseases worldwide, affecting approximately 235 million individuals, primarily children. The major risk factors for asthma include genetic predisposition to certain airborne allergens and environmental exposure these allergens. To manage asthma, therapies often involve relaxing respiratory tract's smooth muscles by counteracting effect of phosphodiesterase activity, which normally induces muscle constriction. This enzyme also lowers calcium levels phosphorylating contractile proteins. Herbal treatments are frequently used as complementary with many key deriving from herbs, such B2-agonists, anticholinergics, methylxanthines, chromones. study aimed determine if white turmeric could alleviate contraction in isolated tracheal triggered acetylcholine an organ bath setting. found that ethanol extract Temu Putih (EETP), contains flavonoids, was effective reducing guinea pig trachea induced atropine sulphate at a concentration 1 x 10-6 M. Moreover, alone compared its when incubated EETH showed significant difference (p < 0.05), suggesting inhibition PDE responsible muscle-relaxing properties.

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia, oxidative stress, and inflammation, which can lead to various complications, including alterations in reproductive function. In this study, we aimed investigate the effect of Coffea canephora var. Robusta ethanol extract on testosterone cysteine-rich secretory protein-1 (CRISP-1) levels streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. Male Wistar rats were divided into five groups: control, diabetic, treated with at three different doses (100, 200, 400mg/kg body weight). After four weeks treatment, serum CRISP-1 measured. The results showed that STZ-induced diabetes significantly decreased increased expression compared control group. However, treatment all Furthermore, highest dose (400mg/kg) exhibited most significant effect. These findings suggest may have therapeutic potential regulating rats, could implications for management diabetes-associated complications. Further studies are needed elucidate underlying mechanisms evaluate long-term effects its

Seagrass meadows consist of angiosperms that thrive fully submerged in marine environments and form distinct ecosystems. They provide essential support for many organisms, acting as nursery grounds species economic importance. Beyond their ecological roles, seagrasses associated microbiomes are rich sources bioactive compounds with the potential to address numerous human healthcare challenges. Seagrasses produce molecules responding physical, chemical, biological environmental changes. These activities can treat microbe-borne diseases, skin diabetes, muscle pain, helminthic wounds. also offer secondary metabolites be used societal benefits. Despite results on presence derivatives, only a few studies have explored functional therapeutic properties from seagrass. With increasing spread epidemics pandemics worldwide, demand alternative drug discovery has become an indispensable area research. present reliable natural source, making this opportune moment further exploration pharmacological minimal side effects. This review provides comprehensive overview biochemical, phytochemical, biomedical applications globally over last two decades, highlighting prospective areas future research identifying applications.

Nanoherbal Tomato (NT) presents a compelling avenue for exploring its multifaceted potential in the realms of metabolic regulation and antioxidative effects. In this study, NT was characterized by particle size (936 ± 112.4 nm) subjected to LC-HRMS metabolite profiling, unveiling key compounds such as ellagic acid, hexadecanamide, dibenzylamin, myricetin, kaempferol, various carotenoids. To assess therapeutic potential, evaluated α-glucosidase α-amylase inhibition capabilities. exhibited promising inhibitory activity with an IC50 value 51.62 µg/mL, surpassing standard drug acarbose (78.1 µg/mL). Similarly, assay, demonstrated competitive 62.31 μg/mL, closely aligned that (58.56 μg/mL). These findings underscore natural agent control. Furthermore, study delves into properties NT. DPPH scavenging significant antioxidant 48.281 µg/mL. The exploration opens avenues NT's utility mitigating oxidative stress-related conditions enhancing overall health. also encompasses determination total phenolic content (TPC) flavonoid (TFC) Results revealed high values TPC (300.21 15.20 mg GAE/g) TFC (20.78 1.82 QE/g) NT, reflecting rich composition. summary, comprehensively examines size, profile, activities, content. shed light on positioning it candidate therapy. Further research clinical investigations are warranted fully harness Tomato.
