In the present investigation of copper ferrite, a CuFe2O4 nanocomposite adsorbent was synthesized using sol–gel method, and its relevance in adsorptive elimination toxic Congo red (CR) aqueous phase examined. A variety structural methods were used to analyze nanocomposite; as-synthesized had agglomerated clusters with porous, irregular, rough surface that could be seen FE-SEM, it also contained carbon (23.47%), oxygen (44.31%), (10.21%), iron (22.01%) elemental composition by weight. Experiments designed achieve most optimized system through utilization central composite design (CCD). The highest uptake CR dye at equilibrium occurred when initial pH value 5.5, adsorbate concentration 125 mg/L, dosage 3.5 g/L. Kinetic studies conducted, they showed adsorption process followed pseudo-second-order (PSO) model (regression coefficient, R2 = 0.9998), suggesting chemisorption mechanism, overall reaction rate governed both film pore diffusion molecules. which molecules taken up onto particle revealed interactions involving electrostatic forces, hydrogen bonding, filling. According isotherm studies, data exhibited strong agreement Langmuir (R2 0.9989), demonstrating maximum monolayer capacity (qmax) 64.72 mg/g 6 302 K. Considering obtained negative ΔG positive ΔHads ΔSads values across all tested temperatures thermodynamic investigations, confirmed characterized as endothermic, spontaneous, feasible, an increased level randomness. developed this study is anticipated find extensive application effluent treatment, owing excellent reusability remarkable capability effectively remove comparison other adsorbents.

The toxicity of dyes has a long-lasting negative impact on aquatic life. Adsorption is an inexpensive, simple, and straightforward technique for eliminating pollutants. One the challenges facing adsorption that it hard to collect adsorbents after adsorption. Adding magnetic property makes easier adsorbents. current work reports synthesis iron oxide-hydrochar composite (FHC) oxide-activated hydrochar (FAC) through microwave-assisted hydrothermal carbonization (MHC) technique, which known as timesaving energy-efficient method. synthesized composites were characterized using various techniques, such FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TEM, N2 isotherm. prepared applied in cationic methylene blue dye (MB). formed crystalline oxide amorphous hydrochar, with porous structure rod-like oxide. pH point zero charge (pHpzc) 5.3 5.6, respectively. Approximately 556 mg 50 MB was adsorbed surface 1 g FHC FAC, respectively, according maximum capacity calculated Langmuir model.

In this investigation, Zn/Al carbonate layered double hydroxide (ZAC-LDH) and its derived material on calcination were synthesized for removing the anionic azo dye Congo red (CR) from wastewater. Numerous factors methodically investigated, including temperature, adsorbent dosage, pH, starting Dye Concentration (DC), contact time. The CR elimination percentage dropped as initial DC increased 25 mg/L to 100 at 30 °C uncalcined LDH, 97.96% 89.25% calcined LDH. pH analysis indicates that highest level of removal was recorded within acidic range through electrostatic attraction mechanism. sorption kinetics results demonstrated pseudo-second-order kinetic model exhibited a stronger fit both LDH CZA-LDH, with maximum correlation coefficient value. Van’t Hoff plots indicate spontaneous nature physisorption process negative ΔG° (<−20 kJ/mol), while endothermic adsorption positive ΔH°. X-ray diffraction reveals significant intercalation molecules, prior following adsorption, showcasing distinctive memory effect. Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) gas measurements performed support mesoporous ZAC-LDH CZA-LDH. FTIR spectrum confirms interaction molecules surface These findings emphasize efficacy LDHs in dye, CZA-LDH demonstrating superior efficiency compared context

Inorganic and organic pollutants usually coexist in practical wastewater, leading to difficult co-removal processes due their different physiochemical properties. In this study, the palygorskite nanosheets loaded hydrochar (PNLH) was synthesized for mercury (Hg) methylene blue (MB) co-contaminated wastewater. The physicochemical characteristics of PNLH were investigated comprehensively, maximum capacity Hg(II) MB reached 148.69 153.06 mg/g, respectively. Based on analysis, surface interactions between with included complexation, hydrogen bonding, pore filling, etc. More importantly, performance improved Hg(II)-MB binary system, while synergistic effects attributed bridging formation complexations MB. density functional theory (DFT) method applied demonstrate that oxygen-containing groups such as O-Mg, O-Al, -OH introduced by clay greatly enhanced interactions, adsorption mechanism also elucidated. regeneration experiments, column studies, economic feasibility analysis further demonstrated practicality effluent purification. This study provides a solution environmental remediation materials dealing inorganic-organic co-polluted
