Hypertensive diseases of pregnancy (HDPs) represent a global clinical challenge, affecting 5-10% women and leading to complications for both maternal well-being fetal development. At the heart these is endothelial dysfunction, with oxidative stress emerging as pivotal causative factor. The reduction in nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability vital indicator this culminating blood pressure dysregulation. In therapeutic context, although antihypertensive medications are commonly used, they come inherent concerns related maternal-fetal safety, percentage do not respond therapies. Therefore, alternative strategies that directly address pathophysiology HDPs required. This article focuses on potential nitrate-nitrite-NO pathway, abundantly present dark leafy greens beetroot, an approach treating HDPs. objective review discuss prospective antioxidant role nitrate. The thyroid gland regulates most of the physiological processes. Environmental factors, including climate change, pollution, nutritional changes, and exposure to chemicals, have been recognized impact function health. Thyroid disorders cancer increased in last decade, latter increasing by 1.1% annually, suggesting that environmental contaminants must play a role. This narrative review explores current knowledge on relationships among factors anatomy function, reporting recent data, mechanisms, gaps through which act. Global warming changes living both iodine-poor areas volcanic regions can represent threat favor cancers because low iodine intake heavy metals radon. Areas with high nitrate nitrite concentrations water soil also negatively affect function. Air particularly particulate matter outdoor air, worsen be carcinogenic. endocrine-disrupting chemicals alter many ways, as some mimic and/or disrupt hormone synthesis, release, action target tissues, such bisphenols, phthalates, perchlorate, per- poly-fluoroalkyl substances. When discussing diet nutrition, there is evidence microbiome-associated an elevated consumption animal fat would associated production autoantibodies. There negative effects microplastics. Finally, infectious diseases significantly function; recently, lessons learned from SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Understanding how influence crucial for developing preventive strategies policies guarantee appropriate development healthy metabolism new generations preventing disease adults elderly. However, are understanding warrant further research.

Nitric oxide (NO) from endothelial NO synthase (eNOS) importantly contributes to vascular homeostasis. Reduced production or increased scavenging during disease conditions with oxidative stress contribute dysfunction and deficiency. In addition the classical enzymatic NOS system, can also be generated via nitrate-nitrite-NO pathway. Dietary pharmacological approaches aimed at increasing bioactivity, especially in cardiovascular have been focus of much research since discovery this small gaseous signaling molecule. Despite wide appreciation biological role NOS/NO signaling, questions still remain about chemical nature NOS-derived bioactivity. Recent studies show that NO-like bioactivity efficiently transduced by mobile NO-ferroheme species which transfer between proteins, partition into a hydrophobic phase, directly activate sGC-cGMP-PKG pathway without intermediacy free NO. Moreover, interaction red blood cells endothelium regulation homeostasis gained attention, cardiometabolic disease. review we discuss both non-classical pathways for generation how these modulated therapeutic purposes. Nitrate (NO3) and nitrite (NO2) are important nitrogen compounds that play a vital role in the cycle, contributing to plant nutrition broader ecological functions. Nitrates produced from nitric acid (HNO3), while nitrites come nitrous (HNO2). These substances commonly found environment, especially food water, due contamination both human natural sources. Human activities major contributors high levels of nitrates leading environmental pollution. Although is crucial for growth, excessive fertilizer use has caused disruptions. In plants, tend accumulate primarily leaves non-leguminous crops, such as leafy vegetables, which known their nitrate content. Furthermore, added animal-based foods, processed meats cheeses, prevent bacterial slow spoilage, improve flavor color. The concentration these can vary different factors like farming practices, climate, soil conditions, production methods. This review seeks examine differences between plant-based sources assess potential impact on health, considering also paradigm goes beyond oxide production.

Thyroid disruptors are found in food, atmosphere, soil, and water. These contaminants interfere with the thyroid function through impairment of hormone synthesis, plasma transport, peripheral metabolism, transport into target cells, action. It is well known that iodide uptake mediated by sodium-iodide symporter (NIS) first limiting step involved hormones production. Therefore, it has been described several regulation NIS expression and/or activity. Perchlorate, nitrate, thiocyanate competitively inhibit NIS-mediated uptake. mainly water smoke cigarettes. Although impact human exposure to these anions highly controversial, some studies indicated their deleterious effects function, especially individuals living iodine deficient areas. Considering critical role production for growth, development, this review summarizes NIS-inhibitors on consequences health.

Although aetiology PC is not completely understood, numerous risk factors have been identified in association with this cancer, among them diet. However, little known about between Mediterranean Diet (MedDiet) and PC. For reason, we conducted a systematic review meta-analysis according to PRISMA guidelines, searching on three databases (PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, EMBASE). The protocol was registered PROSPERO. Both fixed random effect models were performed. Effect size reported as hazard ratio (HR) 95% Confidence Interval (CI). Abstract Current research has described improving multisystem disease and organ function through dietary nitrate (DN) supplementation. They have provided some evidence that these floras with (NO 3 − ) reductase are mediators of the underlying mechanism. Symbiotic bacteria activity (NRA) found in human digestive tract, including mouth, esophagus gastrointestinal tract (GT). Nitrate food can be converted to nitrite under tongue or stomach by symbiotic bacteria. Then, is transformed nitric oxide (NO) non-enzymatic synthesis.
