Abstract
Obesity
has
been
associated
with
a
multitude
of
medical
comorbidities,
infertility,
and
adverse
obstetric
outcomes.
Weight
stigma
weight
bias
pervade
not
only
the
field
but
also
education,
employment,
activities
daily
living.
The
experience
shown
to
adversely
impact
mental
health
individuals
overweight
or
obesity
worsen
obesogenic
behaviors,
comorbidities.
This
review
frames
rise
within
context
“obesity
epidemic”
explores
its
associations
infertility
decreased
access
care
subsequent
on
lives
individuals.
Furthermore,
it
concepts
intrinsic
extrinsic
stigma/bias
highlights
need
for
further
examination

into
these

Background
In
the
United
States,
relationship
between
visceral
obesity
and
risk
of
developing
atherosclerosis
cardiovascular
disease
(ASCVD)

first
time
in
10
years
is
unclear.
Methods
Data

cross-sectional

National
Health
Nutrition
Examination
Survey
(NHANES)

2020.

circumference
(WC),

(CC),

mass
