Background and Objectives: Milk is healthy includes several vital nutrients microbiomes. Probiotics in milk their derivatives modulate the immune system, fight inflammation, protect against numerous diseases. The present study aimed to isolate novel bacterial species with probiotic potential for neuroinflammation. Materials Methods: Six samples were collected from lactating dairy cows. Bacterial isolates obtained using standard methods evaluated based on characteristics such as catalase test, hemolysis, acid/bile tolerance, cell adhesion, hydrophobicity, well vitro screening. Results: Nine morphologically diverse found six different types of cow's milk. Among isolates, PO3 displayed characteristics. was a Gram-positive rod that grew an acidic (pH-2) salty medium containing bile salt salinity (8% NaCl). also exhibited substantial hydrophobicity adhesion. sequencing comparison 16S rRNA genes revealed Lactococcus raffinolactis similarity score 99.3%. Furthermore, assessed its neuroanti-inflammatory activity human oligodendrocyte (HOG) lines four neuroimmune markers: signal transducer activator transcription (STAT-3), myelin basic protein (MBP), glial fibrillary (GFAP), GLAC HOG induced by MOG. Unlike rest markers, STAT-3 levels elevated MOG-treated compared untreated ones. expression level attenuated both PO3-MOG-treated only PO3-treated lines. On contrary, lines, MBP, GFAP, significantly expressed at higher when Conclusions: findings reported this article are be used foundation further vivo research order pave way possible use probiotics treatment neuroinflammatory diseases, including multiple sclerosis.

Oral immune tolerance is a physiological process to achieve against autoimmunity by oral ingestion of self-antigen(s) or other therapeutics. At the cellular level, suppresses autoimmune diseases activating FoxP-positive and -negative regulatory T cells (Tregs) and/or causing clonal anergy deletion autoreactive cells, affecting B cell tolerance. However, delivery antigens/biologics challenging due their instability in harsh environment gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Several antigen/drug tools approaches, including micro/nanoparticles transgenic plant-based systems, have been explored demonstrate for different successfully. despite effectiveness, variation results, dose optimization, undesirable system activation are limitations approach further advancement. From this perspective, current review discusses phenomenon, mechanisms, antigen strategies, its challenges.

Research on camel milk and urine (CMUR) has gained significant attention because of its nutritional medicinal applications. The aim this study was to conduct a bibliometric analysis the CMUR from 1947 2023. Following PRISMA rules, Scopus database used extract 1338 English-language studies, which were analyzed using Analytics, Bibliometrix, VOSviewer. findings indicated that 7.78% studies focused within domain. showed steady increase in number publications over 77 years (R-squared = 0.8308). encompasses wide range research disciplines, with particular emphasis agricultural medical fields. Saudi Arabia is top producer CMUR, Journal Camel Practice being most prolific source. King Saud University contributed 103 documents making it institution globally. co-word identified seven prominent themes can be further categorized into four distinct clusters. Notably, 'Probiotics', 'Anti-inflammatory', 'Diabetes' emerged as trending subjects. yielded insights present trends, gaps existing knowledge, provided valuable recommendations for future investigations.

Accumulating evidence suggests that multiple sclerosis (MS) is an environmentally influenced disorder with contributions from life-time exposure to factors including Epstein–Barr virus infection or shifts in microbiome, diet and lifestyle. One suggested factor a deficiency propionic acid, short-chain fatty acid produced by gut bacteria may contribute the disease pathology both animal models human cases of MS. Propionate appears exert beneficial effects on immune, peripheral central nervous systems people MS (pwMS), showing immunoregulatory, neuroprotective neurogenerative effects. These functions are crucial, given characterized immune-mediated damage myelin system. Accordingly, propionate supplementation modulated increase its levels through microbiome help counteract pro-inflammatory state directly regulating immune system and/or decreasing permeability barrier blood–brain barrier. This could potentially improve outcomes when used immune-modulating therapy. However, while broad promising, further large clinical trials necessary evaluate efficacy safety pwMS clarify role as complementary therapeutic strategy. review provides comprehensive analysis evidence, challenges limitations concerning

Inflammation-related diseases are major causes of mortality and disability worldwide. This study aimed to identify investigate probiotic bacteria that could be present in Al-Asfar Lake Al-Ahsa City, Saudi Arabia prevent the inflammatory responses carrageenan-induced paw edema. In total, seven active strains were isolated, three isolates (ASF-1, ASF-2, ASF-3) exhibited a positive Gram stain viable growth at 20% NaCl salinity; they also lacked catalase hemolytic activities had high levels cell surface hydrophobicity (CSH). They demonstrated potent antibacterial activity against Salmonella typhi Staphylococcus aureus. These results revealed ASF-2 qualities, it was selected for further research. significant anti-inflammatory effects an experimental model edema; showed decreased pro-inflammatory markers, such as interleukin 6 (IL-6), 17 (IL-17), transforming factor-β (TGF-β), increased level marker (interferon gamma (IFN-γ)). Animals control group saw 45% decrease edema when compared mice carrageenan group. When comparing tissue damage infiltration ASF-2-treated non-treated mice, histological examination sub-planar tissues hind leg inflamed healed. The 16S rRNA sequencing method utilized establish is, fact, Enterococcus lactis with 99.2% sequence similarity. findings shed light on ASF-2’s potential biocompatible medication.

With the practice of a successful livestock industry using antibiotics, which has continued for more than five decades, researchers have long been interested in finding alternatives to antibiotics poultry production. Probiotics can potentially reduce enteric diseases and enhance their productivity. The aim this study was isolate putative probiotics from camel milk test them against Salmonella infection as well host immune development. Thirteen different isolates were obtained six samples dairy farms Saudi Arabia. Three (PM1, PM2, PM3, PM4, PM5, PM6) that showed Gram-positive characters reacted negatively catalase hemolytic assays.
