The rhizomes of jahe merah (Zingiber officinale) and temu kunci (Boesenbergia rotunda) contain lots flavonoids phenolics. So far, Indonesian people have used Z. officinale B. rotunda as a mixture cooking ingredients traditional medicine that are known "jamu". This research was conducted to determine the potential antioxidant activity rhizome extracts (Zo), (Br) their combination (Zo+Br) in mice exposed Pb. Furthermore, it is also anticancer hepatocyte carcinoma cell line (HepG2). Twenty-five male were divide into 5 treatment groups, namely P1 = control, P2 Pb 100mg/mL, P3 Zo 100mg/mL + P4 Br P5 Zo+Br (ratio 1:1) 100mg/mL. Treatment given for 30 days on last day anesthetized sacrificed. Their livers taken observe histologically changes morphology, MDA levels, well enzymes SOD CAT. In vitro tested using DPPH assay HepG2 cells. results showed range strong very because has an IC50 value 47μg/mL, 67μg/mL 100μg/mL. Zo, can prevent significant increase levels decrease CAT enzyme due administration. with normal cells abnormal addition, administration inhibit proliferation moderate cytotoxic (IC50 ranges from 42.97 86.94µg/mL). conclusion this officinale, antioxidants be drug candidates growth cancer

Abstract A discrepancy between the production of reactive oxygen species [ROS] and body’s capacity to cleanse or repair resulting damage is known as oxidative stress. Antioxidants shield cells against ROS free radicals, which are extremely because their unpaired electrons, by preventing other molecules from oxidizing. Zingiberaceae family, well-known for its culinary therapeutic applications, scavenge chelate metal ions, alter enzyme function, control gene expression. The antioxidant plant extracts compounds assessed using in vitro tests such DPPH, FRAP, ABTS. Animal research conducted vivo clarifies these plants’ bioavailability, metabolism, impacts on diseases linked Lipid peroxidation, protein oxidation, DNA damage, endogenous defenses examples biomarkers stress that shed light mechanisms behind treatments highlight potential a treatment

This review examines the neuroprotective potential of paddy rice bioactive compounds, with a focus on antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroregenerative properties that may aid in preventing neurodegenerative diseases. Key compounds analyzed include tocotrienols, gamma-oryzanol, phenolic acids. We conducted comprehensive existing studies detailing mechanisms by which bioactives support brain health. These were examined for their effects oxidative stress reduction, neuroinflammation modulation, neurotransmitter regulation, neurogenesis promotion. Bioactives such as gamma-oryzanol ferulic acid found to decrease neuroinflammatory markers function. Research shows enhance neural resilience cognitive function, suggesting role managing disorders like Parkinson's Alzheimer's disease. While preclinical evidence underscores therapeutic promise bioactives, further clinical are needed confirm efficacy, establish optimal dosages, improve bioavailability. advocates advanced nutraceutical development using bridge findings applications.

Stroke is an important medical problem in developing countries, characterized by a sudden disruption of blood supply to the brain, either through occlusion or hemorrhage. It major cause neurological impairment, resulting high costs. The present study examined effect 6‑gingerol on morphological changes, antioxidant defenses, and anti‑apoptotic factors p38 mitogen‑activated protein kinase (MAPK) mitofusin (Mfn)2, rat model focal cerebral ischemia. A total 60 healthy male Wistar rats were randomly allocated into six groups: Control, right middle artery (Rt.MCAO) + vehicle, Rt.MCAO piracetam, 6‑Gin 5, 10 20 mg/kg BW groups. results indicated that treatment for duration 7 days reverses alterations, enhances catalase glutathione peroxidase activities, reduces Bax, caspase‑3 MAPK expression, increases Bcl‑xL Mfn2 expression cortex hippocampus. In conclusion, demonstrated significant in vivo effectiveness mitigating pathological changes induced This beneficial attributed, at least part, preservation defenses activation pathways.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of death globally, with non‐small cell lung accounting for majority (85%) cases. Standard treatments including chemotherapy and radiotherapy present multiple adverse effects. Medicinal plants, used centuries, are traditionally processed by methods such as boiling oral ingestion, However, water solubility, absorption, hepatic metabolism reduce phytoceutical bioavailability. More recently, isolated molecular compounds from these plants can be extracted phytoceuticals administered either individually or an adjunct standard therapy. Phytoceuticals have been shown to alleviate symptoms, may dosage and, in some cases, enhance pharmaceutical mechanisms. Research has identified many phytoceuticals' actions on cancer‐associated pathways, oncogenesis, tumour microenvironment, proliferation, metastasis, apoptosis. The development novel nanoparticle delivery systems solid lipid nanoparticles, liquid crystalline liposomes enhanced bioavailability targeted pharmaceuticals phytoceuticals. This review explores biological pathways associated cancer, a diverse range phytoceuticals, they act upon, pros cons several systems.

Abstract Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a multifactorial and progressive neurodegenerative disease, associated with aging. A total of forty benzylidene‐indenone derivatives were synthesized in search multi‐target‐directed ligands (MTDL) against AD. Compound 9 was found as the most promising MTDL this study. It demonstrated to selectively inhibit human butyrylcholinesterase, increase gene expression choline acetyltransferase (CHAT), promote neurite outgrowth SH‐SY5Y cells. The compound also predicted be able permeate across lipid‐infused bilayer, indicating its ability cross blood‐brain barrier. abovementioned findings show analogs warrant further exploration potential anti‐AD agents.
